Is being hungry a sign of early pregnancy?

In the early stages of pregnancy, women will have many reactions due to the sudden increase in estrogen. This reaction is called early pregnancy reaction. Early pregnancy reactions are varied. Everyone has their own characteristics, and some people have no early pregnancy reactions at all. After becoming pregnant, some women will feel that they get hungry faster than before. Getting hungry quickly is also a kind of early pregnancy reaction.

Early pregnancy reactions usually begin between 4 and 6 weeks after pregnancy, and will gradually ease and disappear in about three months. There are many early pregnancy reactions, usually with dizziness, weakness, drowsiness, vomiting, frequent urination, poor appetite, nausea, and preference for sour foods. Some women will also feel hungry faster than before. Being hungry quickly is a type of early pregnancy reaction, and there are four reasons for being hungry quickly.

1. Male hormone

During pregnancy, women's progesterone levels will increase, and the increase in progesterone levels will affect the hormones that play an important role in hunger: leptin and ghrelin. These two hormones will be produced through micro-organisms, making pregnant women feel induced. In the first stage of pregnancy, ghrelin will increase, and in the second stage it will gradually decrease.

2. High-calorie foods

In the second stage of early pregnancy, the baby will consume more nutrients, so the body's calorie needs will also increase during this stage, which will cause pregnant women to feel hungry quickly.

3. Wrong view

Some pregnant women feel hungry quickly because of some of their own wrong ideas. They will use the reason of pregnancy to eat whatever they like, which results in eating a lot and getting hungry quickly. If they eat excessively like this, it is easy to cause digestion problems in the future, as well as weight loss after childbirth.

4. How to choose ingredients

During pregnancy, you get hungry quickly, so you need to be careful when choosing food. It is best to use some low-fat foods to alleviate the feeling of hunger. Generally, beans, eggs and dairy products are the best foods. These foods are not only low in fat, but also rich in nutrients. Some foods with high sugar content not only have no nutrients, but also easily make the pregnant body weak and more prone to hunger. During pregnancy, you get hungry quickly, so you also need to ensure the necessary vitamin and mineral requirements.
