Non-menstrual bleeding for more than ten days

If you have non-menstrual bleeding for more than ten days and have a history of sexual intercourse with your partner, it is possible that you are pregnant, have uterine wall disease, or have irregular menstruation, which is abnormal. It is recommended to go to the hospital for outpatient treatment, first draw blood for testing of chorionic gonadotropin, do pelvic B-ultrasound, and gynecological examination to understand the condition of the cervix. According to the above test results, if pregnancy has been ruled out, the uterine wall disease cannot be ruled out, and a hysteroscopy can be performed. The abnormal lesions on the uterine wall can be removed under the hysteroscopy or the uterine wall can be scraped off, and further treatment can be decided based on the pathological results.

The reason why bleeding lasts for more than ten days outside of menstrual period

1. It is abnormal for women to bleed for more than ten days during the non-menstrual period. Most of the time, it may be related to female hormone disorders, uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, endometrial polyps, etc. It is also related to cervical inflammation such as chronic cervical erosion.

2. Missed miscarriage cannot be ruled out, so when a woman has dark brown blood, it is best to see a doctor for gynecological B-ultrasound, six sex hormone tests, and blood HCG measurement.

Treatment of non-menstrual bleeding

1. Non-menstrual bleeding may be caused by vaginitis, cervical erosion, cervical polyps, endometritis, and uterine polyps. If the bleeding is caused by vaginitis, it is recommended to check the leucorrhea and actively treat the vaginitis.

2. If it is caused by endometritis, antibiotic treatment for 5-7 days is recommended.

3. If it is a uterine cavity polyp, it is recommended to perform hysteroscopy to remove it, and the removed polyp needs to be sent for pathological examination.

4. If cervical polyps require surgical removal, the removed polyps also need to be sent for pathological examination.

5. If the bleeding is caused by cervical erosion, cervical cancer screening should be done first. After clearing cervical cancer, microwave heating, refrigeration, and laser surgery can be used.
