Disadvantages of laparoscopic surgery

Disadvantages of laparoscopic surgery

There is no pure gold, and there is nothing in the world that is perfect to the extreme. The same is true for surgery. After all, a person has made an opening in his or her body, which will definitely be affected. And surgery is not without disadvantages. Next, let’s analyze the disadvantages of hysteroscopy.

Disadvantages of laparoscopy

1. Since most patients undergoing hysteroscopy use combined spinal-epidural anesthesia, they must strictly lie flat without a pillow for 6 hours after the operation and do not tilt their heads back to avoid low intracranial pressure headaches. Moreover, hysteroscopic patients still need relatives to assist in massage after the operation.

2. There may be a small amount of vaginal bleeding or discharge of light yellow liquid within 1-2 months after hysteroscopic electroresection. This is a normal process of scarring and shedding of the wound in the uterine cavity after surgery. As long as the bleeding does not exceed the normal menstrual volume and there is no fever or stomach pain, you can deal with it calmly.

Advantages of laparoscopy after hysteroscopy

1. Recovery from surgery is quick. Hysteroscopy and laparoscopy are performed in a closed pelvic abdomen, and the trauma is much less than abdominal surgery. The patient can get out of bed and move around after the operation, and can eat semi-liquid food the next day. Generally, the patient can be hospitalized 3 days after the operation, and resume life and work after a week. The patient's post-laparoscopic incision pain was significantly relieved.

2. Scars have little impact. Traditional surgery leaves long scars that affect the appearance, but laparoscopic surgery leaves almost no scars, which is very suitable for women's beauty needs.

In our daily life, many things seem to have two sides. On the one hand, they can benefit mankind, but on the other hand, they require everyone to pay a certain price. The disadvantage of hysteroscopy and laparoscopy is this. While hysteroscopy and laparoscopy cure people's uterine and abdominal diseases, it will also cause people's body to suffer certain pain.
