Can early cervical cancer be cured?

Women's physical and mental health problems are really worrying. In recent years, the incidence rates of breast cancer and cervical cancer have been very high, causing many young women to feel depressed. Do you know if early cervical cancer can be cured? What are the early symptoms of cervical cancer? What are the ways to prevent cervical cancer? Let's read the article together.

Can early-stage cervical cancer be cured?

Doctors say that if cervical cancer can be treated promptly and appropriately in the precancerous stage, the cure rate of the disease can almost reach 100%. Although cervical cancer is common throughout the world, it leaves ample treatment opportunities for many women and is therefore considered by doctors to be a preventable and curable disease.

It is worth mentioning that in clinical medicine, many women panic when they see the words "precancerous disease". In fact, precancerous lesions are not cancer. They are the intermediate state between benign and malignant lesions of the cervix and the general term for the very early lesions. It is actually very lucky to start intervening at this time, which can kill the cancer in its early stages.

Early symptoms of cervical cancer

1. Accompanied by cervical erosion

Generally speaking, most patients with cervical cancer also have cervical erosion. Cervical erosion is the most important cause of the disease. If young women suffer from cervical erosion and do not choose treatment, the recovery will be poor. If women have cervical erosion after menopause, they should also pay enough attention.

2. Contact bleeding

Contact bleeding is the most prominent symptom of cervical cancer. About 70%-80% of cervical cancer patients have vaginal bleeding. The main manifestation is that during gynecological examination, or when straining to defecate, female secretions are stained with blood. If middle-aged women encounter bleeding, they should not always think that it is caused by improper use of force and ignore the possibility of cervical cancer.

3. Non-menstrual bleeding in the vagina

Many elderly people suddenly have menopause after they have reached menopause, and there is no reason for it. In this case, you should also consider whether it is cervical cancer. If the bleeding is very little and there is no abdominal pain or back pain, it is more likely to be ignored by others. In fact, this irregular bleeding is an early sign of cervical cancer. In this case, you should see a doctor immediately.

4. Pain

There is often pain in the lower abdomen or lumbosacral area. Sometimes the pain may occur in the upper abdomen, thighs and hip joints. It is aggravated during menstruation, bowel movements or sexual intercourse. Especially when the inflammation extends posteriorly along the uterosacral cruciate ligament or spreads along the bottom of the broad cruciate ligament, causing diffuse parauterine connective tissue inflammation and the cardinal cruciate ligament of the cervix enlarges and thickens, the pain is even worse.

Every time the cervix is touched, it immediately causes pain in the iliac fossa and lumbosacral region. Some patients even experience symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, which affects the couple's sexual life.

5. Increased secretions in women

In clinical medicine, approximately 75%-85% of cervical cancer patients have varying degrees of increased female secretions. Most of the symptoms are excessive vaginal discharge, which is often followed by changes in smell and color. Generally speaking, the characteristics and amount of vaginal discharge are determined by the health of the ovaries.

For women of childbearing age, vaginal discharge changes regularly; for postmenopausal women, vaginal discharge is very little. Due to the stimulation of cancer, the metabolism of cervical glands in patients with cervical cancer is relatively active, resulting in mucous vaginal discharge. Therefore, patients of childbearing age no longer have regular changes in the characteristics and quantity of vaginal discharge.

If you have already gone through menopause, and your vaginal discharge increases for no apparent reason, and the discharge is sticky and sometimes stubborn. The main manifestations of this type of abnormal vaginal discharge, including an increase in amount and changes in properties, are early symptoms of cervical cancer.
