Precautions after cervical laser surgery

Precautions after cervical laser surgery

If a woman suffers from cervical erosion, in addition to drug treatment, she can also choose cervical laser surgery. However, most hospitals do not perform cervical laser surgery, and there are many uncertainties during the surgery. Even after cervical laser surgery is completed, if proper care is not taken, it will affect the condition. So, what should you pay attention to after cervical laser surgery?

Laser therapy system is a treatment method that uses the thermal effect of laser on biological tissue. It is characterized by clear surgical field of view and high surgical quality.

Contraindications for laser treatment of cervical erosion: patients with acute or subacute vulvar or vaginal cervicitis, systemic infectious diseases, and patients with medical diseases that cannot withstand laser surgery (such as low platelets, hypertension, and heart failure to prevent accidents during surgery) should be considered as contraindications.

Contraindications for laser treatment of anorectal surgery: patients in the inflammatory edema stage, annular mixed hemorrhoids, anal hemorrhoid fistulas penetrating deep into the external sphincter, patients in poor general condition and those with diseases such as diabetes, blood diseases, etc. are not suitable for laser treatment.

Procedure

1. After receiving the treatment order, check the patient's name, gender, age, treatment method and location to ensure they are correct, then lay a disposable bed sheet to fully expose the lesion.

2. Use 2-6 ml of 1% lidocaine for local infiltration anesthesia (or penis root block anesthesia for men).

3. According to the nature, depth, size and coloration of the lesion, select the appropriate input power (40-70w) and focal distance (generally 15-45mm), aim the light beam at the lesion, and gradually perform tracing or focal beam irradiation from the outside to the inside and from shallow to deep. While irradiating, wipe off the carbonized tissue with a saline cotton ball and check the elimination of the lesion until it is completely eliminated.

4. Accurately grasp the depth and properly protect the surrounding normal skin. If bleeding occurs, use pressure or laser cauterization to stop bleeding.

5. After the laser treatment is completed, apply ointment to the wound and bandage it with sterile gauze.

6. Clean the environment, wipe the laser machine head with alcohol, and send the patient to the next process.
