Can the postpartum disease be cured?

Some women do not take good care of themselves after giving birth. Such women will often experience body aches, fear of cold, and fatigue in their later life. Can postpartum diseases be cured? If you want to treat postpartum disease, you can use physical, drug, psychological and other treatment methods in combination. Physical therapy can effectively control the development of the disease. Below we will introduce in detail how to treat postpartum diseases.

1. Can moxibustion cure postpartum disease?

These things can improve postpartum diseases, and they will not have a negative impact on breastfeeding when used externally.

Postpartum disease, also known as postpartum rheumatism, is a disease characterized by soreness and pain in the muscles and joints caused by wind, cold and dampness when the body is weak after childbirth or abortion, which damages the joints, tendons, muscles, skin and other tissues. The main symptoms of this disease are pain in muscles and joints throughout the body, fear of wind, cold, and intolerance of fatigue, but there is no redness or swelling in the affected joints and muscles.

Postpartum rheumatism is treated with psychotherapy, physical therapy, rehabilitation exercises, massage and other therapies with excellent results. Among them, physical therapy is mainly used for local joint lesions, and the therapeutic significance of systemic hyperthermia for this disease also needs to be explored. Hypothermia therapy should be controlled within an appropriate range, otherwise too low a temperature may only change the antigenicity of the body's proteins, which is not conducive to the control of the disease. Therefore, physical therapy is only suitable for the basic control of postpartum rheumatic conditions, and for a small number of patients with swollen joints, muscle spasms, mild deformities but no bone ankylosis when the overall condition has stabilized and improved.

2. Nutrients needed by pregnant women

Since all nutrients increase during pregnancy compared to usual and the extent of the increase varies, it is difficult for families without nutritional awareness or nutritional conditions to provide pregnant women with a reasonable diet. By the time of delivery, many of the nutritional reserves in the pregnant woman's body have been almost depleted. These consumed nutritional reserves must be replenished as soon as possible, otherwise it will cause permanent harm to the mother. Therefore, a custom of concentrated replenishment after childbirth has gradually formed in China, which is the confinement month.

Are Chinese women too delicate and take themselves too seriously? First, let's take a look at the needs of pregnant women for several major nutrients:

1. Protein: A full-term fetus contains 400-800g of protein, plus the needs of the placenta, a total of 900g of protein is required from the mother's body.

2. Iron: The fetus needs iron to produce blood and muscles. It must also store some iron in the liver for consumption within 6 months after birth. Pregnant women also need to store extra iron to cope with the iron lost through blood loss during childbirth.

3. Calcium: The calcium content in the fetus reaches more than 20g in the late pregnancy, which means that the fetus extracts 300mg of calcium from the mother's body every day in the late pregnancy. Pregnant women also need to store 30g of calcium for breastfeeding, which means that pregnant women in the late pregnancy need to reserve 200mg per day. This means that pregnant women need to consume 500 mg more calcium per day than ordinary women.

4. B vitamins: basically proportional to the metabolic rate. Since the metabolism of pregnant women and fetuses is very high, the demand for B vitamins increases.

At the same time, the demand for vitamin C, as well as various other vitamins and minerals, has also increased to varying degrees. In addition to vitamin A, insufficient or excessive vitamin A can cause fetal malformations, so the intake of vitamin A during pregnancy should be synchronized with normal times. But after delivery, the demand for vitamin A will increase significantly, more than 1.6 times the usual amount.
