Symptoms before menstruation

Symptoms before menstruation

Women have a few days of discomfort every month, which is what we know as menstruation. Due to physical reasons, some girls have very regular menstruation without any discomfort, but some people have irregular menstruation and often suffer from dysmenorrhea. Therefore, you should understand the symptoms before menstruation and make preparations in advance to avoid sudden menstruation and embarrassing moments. The main signs are as follows.

1. Pelvic heaviness and lower back pain: One week before menstruation, especially 2-3 days before menstruation, there will be obvious lower abdominal distension and lower back pain. This is due to changes in hormone levels in the body and the shedding of the endometrium. This is a normal physiological phenomenon, and it will gradually disappear with the arrival of menstruation.

2. Edema: Some women will experience obvious edema before menstruation. Edema may also be accompanied by headache, runny nose, abdominal distension and constipation. If you weigh yourself at this time and find that your weight is higher than usual, it may indicate that your period is about to come.

3. Breast pain: Breast pain is an obvious signal that menstruation is about to come. Changes in estrogen and progesterone in the body stimulate the breasts. If there are breast nodules or hyperplasia, they will be more obvious and painful to touch. This is a normal physiological hyperplasia. After menstruation comes, the breasts will return to normal. If you always have a lump or pain in your breast, you should seek medical attention immediately as it may be pathological breast hyperplasia or fibroids.

4. Increased secretions: Before menstruation, the pelvic cavity becomes congested, the blood flow to the cervix and vagina increases, and the secretions will be more than usual. If pink leucorrhea appears, it means that menstruation is about to arrive.

Many girls are afraid of the arrival of their period because of menstrual discomfort or dysmenorrhea. Tension can sometimes aggravate the pain, which is called premenstrual syndrome. Try to relax, get good sleep and eat a light diet. If the dysmenorrhea is severe, it is best to adjust it in time. You can drink some brown sugar ginger water to warm your body.
