3. For patients with breast diseases who are newly diagnosed, if the physical examination is not satisfactory, the patient can be asked to cooperate and undergo another examination at the best time, such as around the 10th day of the menstrual cycle, to avoid interference caused by physiological changes in the breast during the menstrual cycle.

4. Adequate lighting should be provided during the examination to avoid ignoring signs caused by minor lesions. The patient will experience slight distension and pain, but there is no need to be nervous.

5. After the examination, the saline solution or air in the milk duct should be drained, the nipple should be applied with antibiotic ointment and covered with sterile gauze, and bathing is prohibited on the same day.

Generally, attention should be paid to local cleanliness and hygiene before examination. 3. Precautions after ductoscopy

1. No bathing for 24 hours;

2. Apply chlortetracycline or erythromycin eye ointment to the nipple 2-3 times a day;

3. If you experience redness, swelling, pain, or other discomfort in the breast you are examining, please visit a breast specialist or surgical clinic promptly for a follow-up visit.
