Excessive discharge the day after intercourse

Excessive discharge the day after intercourse

During sexual intercourse, due to sexual stimulation of women, the female hormones in their bodies will increase abnormally, which will also cause a large amount of secretions to be discharged from their lower body, making it easier for the male penis to enter the female vagina and complete sexual intercourse. However, many women find that their vaginal secretions increase abnormally the day after having sex, and they worry that this is a sign of gynecological disease. What should they do at this time?

What should I do if the amount of vaginal discharge increases the day after sex?

The increase in vaginal discharge is related to the estrogen level in women's bodies. When the estrogen level rises, the cervix will secrete a lot of mucus, and then the vaginal discharge will increase. This is a normal phenomenon. If it happens just once a day, women don't have to worry. If this continues for a long time, it is recommended that women go to the hospital for a check-up and receive treatment based on the results.

After having sex, it is not enough to just wipe with paper towels or wet wipes. Women should gently wipe the private parts from front to back with clean water. Since the vagina itself has a cleansing function, there is no need to use douching to clean it, so as not to destroy the acid-base value of the private parts. And you can only put on underwear after your private parts are dry.

After having sex, women should drink plenty of water. In addition to replenishing the water lost in the body, it can also help the bladder expel bacteria. In terms of diet, women should eat foods containing probiotics such as kimchi and yogurt, which can replenish the good bacteria in the vagina and reduce the risk of private infection. In life, women need to wear loose clothes and exercise more to be in better health.

How long after sex can you conceive

So, when everything is ready, will “good pregnancy” appear and tell you that you have succeeded? Let me tell you the timeline of conception.

Generally speaking, it takes sperm only a few minutes to reach the fallopian tube from the vagina, but usually takes 1 to 1.5 hours. These sperm that reach the fallopian tubes lose their ability to conceive after three days. When women are in their childbearing years, their ovaries release a mature egg every month. After the egg is released, it is captured by the fallopian tube umbrella and enters the fallopian tube. Within 24 hours after the egg is released, if it encounters sperm in the fallopian tube, the egg will be surrounded by a group of sperm, of which only one sperm can penetrate into the egg and fertilize it. The egg after fertilization is called a zygote. The fertilized egg develops in the fallopian tube and gradually moves towards the uterine cavity. About 7-8 days after fertilization, it reaches the uterine cavity and implants into the endometrium, continuously absorbing nutrients and gradually developing into a mature fetus.

The fertilized egg stays in the fallopian tube for 3-5 days before implanting in the endometrium. Some are earlier, some are later, and some vary greatly. 3-4 days after fertilization, morula is formed, and blastocyst is formed 6-8 days later. Implantation begins 6-8 days after fertilization and is completed 11-12 days later.

After entering the female vagina, sperm can survive for 2-3 days. If ovulation occurs during this period, conception will occur. The lifespan of an egg is about 2-3 days, while it takes one day for sperm to travel from the vagina to the fallopian tube, and two days for the fertilized egg to implant. So the time it takes to conceive after sex should be 2+1=3 days.

In medicine, the number of days of pregnancy is generally calculated from the first day of the last menstrual period. If an ultrasound examination is performed, it can generally be seen within 25 to 38 days. However, for some women, due to late fertilization and late implantation, it may take about 40 days to see the result. Therefore, it will not exceed 40 days at the latest.
