Painless abortion procedure

Painless abortion procedure

Pregnant women who can no longer continue their pregnancy often choose painless abortion, believing that it is safer. In fact, the operation process of painless abortion is the same as that of ordinary surgery, except that the pregnant woman will be given general anesthesia so that she will not feel pain. Although painless abortion is more common, it also involves certain risks, so it is best to choose a regular hospital and have a professional doctor perform the surgery.

The basic process of painless abortion

Painless abortion is a remedial measure for women after contraceptive failure. The indications and surgical methods of painless abortion are the same as those of artificial abortion, but a new type of safe and effective drug is added during the operation for intravenous injection. The patient can enter a sleep state in about 30 seconds. The doctor can complete the operation in about 3 minutes without the pregnant woman being conscious. The injury is relatively minor and you can leave after 30 minutes without having to be hospitalized. It basically avoids women’s psychological fear problems and greatly reduces physical harm.

1. Choose a professional hospital. Women who are having a painless abortion for the first time must choose a professional and regular hospital. This is very important because both artificial abortion and medical abortion may cause various harms to the human body. Therefore, professional hospitals have experienced experts who perform the surgery personally and have a good operating environment, which can reduce accidents during abortion surgery and reduce the occurrence of post-abortion syndrome.

2. Confirm pregnancy. Based on the history of amenorrhea, a positive pregnancy test can generally be diagnosed as pregnancy, but trophoblastic diseases such as ectopic pregnancy and hydatidiform mole must be ruled out. If an ultrasound shows a gestational sac in the uterus 35 days after menstruation, it can be confirmed as an intrauterine pregnancy; if there is no gestational sac in the uterus but there is one outside the uterus, it can be diagnosed as an ectopic pregnancy; if there is no gestational sac in the uterus but there is a snowflake-like shadow, it can be considered as a hydatidiform mole. Only when intrauterine pregnancy is confirmed can painless abortion be performed. Some rural hospitals have poor conditions and no B-ultrasound facilities, so the scrapings must be carefully examined. Only when an embryo or villi are seen in the scrapings can it be confirmed as an intrauterine pregnancy; if not, the possibility of ectopic pregnancy must be considered.

3. Preoperative preparation. Women should undergo a gynecological examination before surgery to determine the location and size of the embryo and rule out pathological pregnancies such as ectopic pregnancy and hydatidiform mole, so as to improve the accuracy of the surgery, reduce damage and prevent residues. Avoid these adverse factors from affecting the quality of the surgery and post-operative recovery. If you choose painless abortion, you should fast for 8 hours before the operation.

4. Operative period. Removing the embryo from the uterus using surgery or medication is a critical step. There are many surgical methods. The most commonly used methods are micro-tube painless abortion and micro-tube visual painless abortion. The uterus-preserving visual painless abortion is particularly advanced and suitable for early pregnancy within 2 months. Especially those who are 35-50 days pregnant. Painless abortion puts the patient into anesthesia, and the patient wakes up to find that the operation is over.

5. Postoperative recovery period. This period was not handled well. It can also cause serious consequences. Although miscarriage is a "short confinement month", you should also be cared for in the same way as a "long confinement month" after a full-term delivery. You should eat nutritious and easily digestible foods such as eggs, milk, ribs, chicken, fish, etc. It is taboo to use cold water to wash your hair, bathe, wash your hands, or wash clothes and vegetables, etc. Otherwise, the stimulation of cold water can induce arthritis, leaving behind pain in the joints and muscles affected by the cold.
