The medication is too early to be discharged

The medication is too early to be discharged

If you have a medical abortion too early, the residue in your uterus will not be completely discharged, which will make people feel very anxious. At this time, you should stay calm and go to bed to rest in time. This is a better way to let your body recover quickly. Then you should go to the hospital regularly for detailed examinations to ensure that the residue in your uterus will not worsen. Surgery should be required if necessary.

1. Mifepristone 25 mg, 2/d, orally on an empty stomach in the morning and evening, for 3 consecutive days, a total of 150 mg.

2. On the fourth day of medication, go to the outpatient clinic at 8 am for vaginal medication. Place one Carprostol suppository (PGO 5) (1 mg) in the posterior fornix of the vagina, or take 0.6 mg of misoprostol orally, and stay in the outpatient clinic for 2-4 hours. Mild lower abdominal pain will occur about 1 hour after the drug is placed in the vagina, and attention should be paid to vaginal discharge at this time. The patient is asked to urinate into a special container. If fleshy matter or white lumps are found in the urine, they should be carefully checked and identified to confirm that the miscarriage products are completely discharged without much bleeding. The patient can be discharged from the hospital after 30 minutes to one hour of observation. Uterine contractions may also be injected intramuscularly to aid in the expulsion of the products of pregnancy.

1. Fatigue, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea may occasionally occur 24 hours after taking the medicine. Generally, no special treatment is required. Symptomatic treatment can be given to patients with severe symptoms.

2. Ask the surgeon to send the vaginal discharge for examination to determine whether the abortion is complete. Do not discard it at will.

3. If the aborted product is embedded in the cervical canal, it can be removed with forceps or by suction using a negative pressure aspirator (without entering the uterine cavity).

4. If vaginal bleeding is greater than menstrual volume or vaginal bleeding lasts for more than 2 weeks, an ultrasound examination is required to check whether there are any residual products of pregnancy in the uterine cavity, and a uterine curettage should be performed if necessary.

5. If the bleeding time is too long, give hemostatic agents and antibiotics.

6. Follow up on the recovery of menstruation.

Menstruation

After taking abortion pills, the ovaries can generally resume ovulation function within 22 days, and menstruation will occur in about 1 month. However, a small number of women experience menstrual disorders such as prolonged menstruation, irregular cycles, and amenorrhea after medical abortion. This situation usually returns to normal after 2 to 3 months, but in a few people it lasts longer.

Post-drug infection

⑴ Prohibition of sexual intercourse: Some people bleed for a long time after taking abortion pills, while others bleed for a short time, and some others bleed sometimes and sometimes not. In either case, sexual intercourse is prohibited until menstruation occurs. Because the cervix is in a relaxed state when taking abortion pills, the effect of preventing bacteria from entering the uterine cavity is weakened. During sexual intercourse, bacteria hidden in the male foreskin and bacteria in the female vulva, vagina, and cervix can take the opportunity to ascend and infect the uterine cavity; at the same time, the blood sinuses are open after the embryonic tissue is peeled off, making them easy to be infected by bacteria.

⑵ Do not wash the basin, do not do vaginal douching, swim, catch a cold, or eat spicy food within one month after taking abortion pills.

⑶ The sanitary napkins and toilet paper used must be qualified products; sanitary napkins should be changed frequently; underwear made of chemical fiber fabrics should not be worn; underwear should be changed and washed every day.
