Women's vaginas will have some secretions every day, and they need to change underwear frequently to keep the vulva clean. Leucorrhea is a woman's vaginal secretion, which can reflect the health of the body. Increased leucorrhea and odor are manifestations of abnormal leucorrhea, indicating that there are problems inside the body and need timely treatment. Understanding the types of leucorrhea can better prevent the occurrence of diseases. The sensitivity of vaginal discharge varies greatly from person to person. Some women have a lot of vaginal discharge but they do not experience any discomfort. Some people have normal or only slightly increased genital discharge, but the vulva often feels wet and uncomfortable, so they are eager to seek treatment. So, what does normal vaginal discharge look like? The amount of vaginal discharge is usually related to physiological phenomena, such as a significant decrease or absence of vaginal discharge, vaginal dryness, burning pain, loss of libido, discomfort or difficulty in sexual intercourse during the menstrual cycle and after sexual activity, and may also be accompanied by symptoms such as dizziness, tinnitus, lower limbs, weakness, and irritability. If the vaginal secretions are too little for a long time, the vagina's self-defense function will be weakened, making it easy to get vaginitis. A moderate amount of vaginal discharge is a normal physiological phenomenon, and the amount of leucorrhea is abnormal. Under normal circumstances, the vaginal discharge is less, white or milky white, and there will be slight marks on the underwear after one day. The normal state of leucorrhea should be like translucent egg white, which excretes waste from the moist vagina and has the effect of killing bacteria. There are five common conditions of leucorrhea: 1. Colorless paste leucorrhea Leucorrhea is thick and sticky and often leaves marks in underwear. In addition to feeling back pain, the patient has no other symptoms. This is more common in chronic metritis. In addition, women who take more estrogen preparations may also experience this kind of leucorrhea. 2. Bean curd-like leucorrhea The amount of vaginal discharge is large and floc-like in shape, often accompanied by vaginal itching. This type of leucorrhea is caused by yeast infection or diabetes in the vagina. 3. Foamy leucorrhea Vaginal discharge is frothy and profuse, with vulvar and vaginal itching. If a vaginal smear is done, active trichomoniasis can be detected. This is because trichomoniasis is caused by bathing or unclean bath water. 4. Purulent leucorrhea If the leucorrhea is yellow or green and is often accompanied by symptoms such as weakness and low fever, it may be acute vaginitis or cervicitis, indicating a bacterial infection and you should seek medical attention immediately. 5. Watery leucorrhea Leucorrhea that is as clear as water, often wets underwear, and has an odor is often a sign of fallopian tube tumors. |
