What medicine should women take for cold hands and feet

Female friends always feel that their hands and feet are cold, which makes them feel particularly uncomfortable. This is mostly due to a medical condition caused by obstructed blood circulation. In this case, they should go to the hospital for a detailed examination first. Only in this way can they know the real cause of the disease. After the diagnosis, they can eat more nourishing Chinese medicinal materials, such as angelica and red ginseng, which have a relieving effect.

Angelica

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that cold hands and feet are caused by insufficient yang energy in winter, which prevents blood from being transported to the extremities. Angelica can replenish blood and promote blood circulation, regulate menstruation and relieve pain, and moisten the intestines and promote bowel movements. The weather is cold in winter. Eating some angelica mutton soup can replenish qi and nourish deficiency. It is especially suitable for women with poor qi and blood circulation and cold hands and feet. Some women with postpartum coldness can eat more to replenish blood, promote blood circulation and regulate their physical condition.

Preparation method: 600 grams of mutton (with skin or cut into pieces of lamb tendon), appropriate amount of cabbage and ginger, 2 grams of angelica, 3 grams of wolfberry, and 10 pitted red dates. Prepare a little salt, a large teaspoon each of soy sauce and sugar, and 1 cup of wine. Boil the mutton pieces in boiling water, then replace with clean water and put into the pot. Add ginger, angelica, wolfberry, red dates and seasonings and simmer on low heat for 1.5 to 2 hours. Then add the cabbage and cook for another 20 minutes.

Red Ginseng

Red ginseng is a cooked product of ginseng, which has the effects of replenishing vital energy, restoring pulse and strengthening the body, and invigorating qi and blood. Red ginseng is an excellent tonic for those with insufficient qi and blood and yang deficiency. Anyone who has symptoms such as frequent fear of cold, cold hands and feet, dizziness and fatigue, weakness in the limbs, easy fatigue, shortness of breath, and occasional feeling of coldness in the stomach can choose red ginseng as a tonic.

Making tea: Cut red ginseng or dried ginseng into thin slices, put them in a bowl or cup, brew with boiling water, cover and simmer for 5 minutes before drinking.

Make porridge: Cut the red ginseng into thin slices and add a little when making porridge for breakfast, which is very nutritious.

Chewing: Cut the red ginseng into thin slices, take 2 to 3 slices and chew them slowly in your mouth. It is refreshing and sweet, cool and delicious. This is the simplest way to take it.

Wolfberry

Wolfberry is a good choice for winter tonic. Lycium barbarum is an excellent tonic medicine, containing various nutrients necessary for the human body, including about 20% protein, about 10% fat, about 40% sugar, and the remaining 30% or so are inorganic salts and various vitamins. It is mainly used to treat liver and kidney yin deficiency, low back and knee pain, weak eyesight and diabetes.

Best way to eat: In winter, wolfberry is best eaten in porridge and can be paired with various porridges. There is also a simple way to eat wolfberry, which is to chew it in the morning and evening. The benefit of chewing is that the nutrients in wolfberry will be more fully absorbed.

When chewing wolfberries, be careful to halve the amount you eat, otherwise you may over-nourish yourself. Generally speaking, it is appropriate for healthy adults to eat about 20 grams of wolfberry per day; if you want to achieve therapeutic effects, you can eat about 30 grams per day.
