Ovulation induction process

Ovulation induction process

Ovulation induction is a method of in vitro fertilization. You can take ovulation-stimulating hormones to promote ovulation from the ovaries, and then select eggs with better quality to combine with sperm to form a fertilized egg. The fertilized egg is then transplanted into the woman's uterus for development. This is how in vitro fertilization is done. The ovulation induction process is promoted by drugs, and then the ovulation period is determined by checking whether the secretion of estrogen in the blood increases.

How to stimulate ovulation

Drug treatment

1. Chlorphenamine (CC)

Many doctors recommend this type of medicine to their patients because it contains anti-estrogen, a hormone that can fight against endogenous estrogen in a woman's body, stimulate the ovaries to produce eggs, and produce ovarian steroid hormones. This medicine is effective, easy to use, safe and suitable for most women. However, the intake amount is limited and should not exceed 0.25g per day. The specific use of this medicine should be in accordance with the doctor's advice.

2.hMG-hCC

If CC treatment has no effect, or if you suffer from hypogonadotropinemia, this method of treatment is necessary.

3. Tamoxifen

It is also suitable for patients who have not responded well to CC treatment. This drug also contains anti-estrogen, and even if consumed in small amounts, the effect is very obvious and has the same efficacy as CC.

4. Pulse GnRHa therapy

It is aimed at patients with hypogonadotropinemia. Using this drug can increase the chance of pregnancy.

5. hMG-dexamethasone

It is also suitable for those who are ineffective with CC and those with hyperandrogenism. Studies have shown that after using this drug, 89.6% of women saw their pregnancy rate increase by 70% and their ovulation rate increase by 80%.

The doctor will choose the appropriate ovulation plan based on the patient's own situation. Never use drugs blindly. Follow the doctor's instructions and strictly control the time and dosage of medication to achieve the desired effect. In addition, blind use of medication can also cause side effects, resulting in ovarian decline, amenorrhea, menstrual cycle disorders, etc.

Food therapy

The same effect of ovulation can be achieved through dietary adjustments: reduce fat intake, eat less carbohydrates, and control abnormal androgens and gonadotropins in the body through scientific weight loss. Chinese medicine believes that eating black beans can achieve this effect. It contains a variety of proteins and vitamins and plays a role similar to estrogen. In addition to nourishing blood and kidney and promoting ovulation, people with weak bodies can improve their physical fitness by eating more black beans. Women can start eating it from the first day after the menstruation ends, about 45 grams a day, and eat it for a week to be effective.

B-ultrasound monitoring

In addition to ovulation through medication and diet, monitoring work cannot be ignored. Doctors often use B-ultrasound for testing because this method is the simplest and most accurate.

During the ovulation ultrasound examination, women do not need to hold their urine. Through multiple vaginal B-ultrasound examinations, the doctor will keep relevant data records to observe the development of follicles and use this to change the medication plan, help women calculate the ovulation period, arrange the best time for couples to be intimate, and increase the probability of conception. Of course, women with normal ovulation can also use this technology to detect whether they ovulate in this cycle, when they ovulate, etc.

This monitoring process cannot be achieved overnight; it must be repeated multiple times to get accurate results. Monitoring can begin around the 10th day after menstruation, or around 8 days after taking medication. The doctor will make adjustments based on the growth of the follicles and arrange the next test. Once the follicles mature, the patient will be given medication, and intimate time for the couple will be recommended, or related assisted reproductive surgery will be arranged.
