At present, normal HPV test results can preliminarily rule out the possibility that this virus causes cervical lesions. However, a TCT test is still necessary to rule out the possibility of abnormal cervical cells. This is an important item in the women's disease screening and is more beneficial to your health. Clinical significance

HPV types 1, 2, and 4 are called common warts and can occur anywhere, most commonly on the hands. They are low-risk types.

HPV types 6 and 11 are genital warts, with the highest incidence of genital warts. They often infect the vulva, anus, vagina and other parts of the body. They are highly contagious and are low-risk types. There is no significant association with invasive cervical cancer.

Types 16 and 18 are high-risk types that can cause cervical cancer and cervical intraepithelial lesions.

Normal reference range

Genital HPV includes HPV6, 11, 42, 43, 44 and other types, which often cause benign lesions such as genital warts including low-grade cervical intraepithelial lesions (CINI). This is a low-risk type.

High-risk HPV types include HPV16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, and 68, which are associated with the occurrence of cervical cancer and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CINⅡ/Ⅲ), especially HPV16 and 18.

Anything not falling within the above range is considered normal.
