The success rate of the second generation test tube

The success rate of the second generation test tube

In vitro fertilization is a very common assisted reproductive method. For many women, due to age or some diseases, they are often unable to conceive normally. At this time, they can use assisted reproductive methods to achieve the opportunity of conception. With the development of IVF technology in recent years, the success rate of the second generation of IVF is relatively high. This is good news for some couples who are unable to conceive normally. Let's take a look at this aspect.

The success rate of the second generation test tube

The success rate of the second-generation test tube is relatively high. The current international average success rate is about 30%, and the total success rate of three transplants is over 50%. Overseas test tube baby technology is developing rapidly. The hospital has successfully increased the success rate to more than 70% with cutting-edge technical equipment, authoritative expert team, high-standard laboratory environment, and safe and formal medical model. More patients are having their own children through test tube babies.

Second generation IVF technology ICSI process

IVF experts point out that this process is performed under an inverted microscope and observed at 200 times magnification. The microscope is equipped with a heating stage to maintain the temperature at 37oC and two hydraulic joysticks for the micro-motion robot's movements. Using these tools, precise movements can be made to hold oocytes and spermatozoa with micro-tools.

The oocyte is held in place by suction and is smaller in diameter than the oocyte. Inject sperm using a small sharp injection pipette with a diameter of 5 microns, slightly larger than the width of a sperm.

A small portion of spermatozoa is added to the prepared polyvinylpyrrolidone which is viscous and dissolves slowly, making individual spermatozoa easier to visualize and aspirate. Select sperm with normal morphology for injection and then rub the tail with the injection pipette. The fixed sperm is aspirated into the injection tube.

Oocytes were positioned in a way to avoid intranuclear injection and one sperm was injected into each oocyte. Once this is achieved, the oocytes are returned to the incubator. The assessment was performed the morning after fertilization, 17 to 19 hours after ICSI.
