What are the symptoms of chronic cervicitis

Gynecological diseases are extremely harmful to women's health. Moreover, since women's body resistance is generally weak, they are easily infected with reproductive system diseases, which cause great damage to the body. For example, diseases near the uterus are very common among women. Chronic cervicitis is one of the most common diseases of the female reproductive system. Let’s take a look at the symptoms of chronic cervicitis.

Symptom 1: Increased leucorrhea

Although patients with chronic cervicitis sometimes have no symptoms, sometimes the only symptom is increased vaginal discharge. The vaginal discharge may be yellow, occasionally bloody, and there may be contact bleeding. When the secretions irritate the vulva, there will be itching and other discomforts.

Symptom 2: Pain in the lower abdomen or lumbar region

This is also one of the most common symptoms of chronic cervicitis. It often worsens during menstruation or bowel movements and may cause sexual pain. When the inflammation spreads to the connective tissue next to the uterus, the pain will be more obvious.

Symptom 3: Urinary tract irritation

The principle is similar to that of acute cervicitis, both of which are caused by the spread of inflammation to the urinary system, with symptoms such as urgency, pain during urination, and difficulty urinating.

Symptom 4: Other symptoms

Chronic cervicitis may also be accompanied by other symptoms, such as irregular menstruation and even dysmenorrhea.

prevention:

(1) Healthy sexual life. Infertility is usually the direct cause of cervicitis.

(2) Regular gynecological examinations. For women who have given birth, since their cervix has been completely opened, regular gynecological examinations are necessary.

(3) A healthy diet improves immunity. Only when immunity is improved can it help the cervix resist pathogens more effectively.

Cervicitis is actually very common, but it is difficult to treat, especially chronic cervicitis, which has a long treatment cycle, so the best way to "deal with" this disease is prevention. Everyone can learn about the symptoms of chronic cervicitis, and go to the hospital for examination in time if similar symptoms appear.
