The material of the IUD

For women of childbearing age, IUD is a very common contraceptive method. After giving birth, many women choose this type of IUD for contraception. Inserting an IUD is a relatively minor operation, which involves placing a contraceptive ring at the opening of the uterus to achieve the contraceptive effect. With the advancement of science and technology, there are many materials available for contraceptive rings. Let’s take a brief look at the materials of IUDs.

The material of the IUD

1. Steel contraceptive ring: The contraceptive ring made of this material has very good contraceptive effect and comfort of use. Generally speaking, the validity period can reach about 15-20 years, which is a very long time.

2. Copper contraceptive ring: This type of contraceptive ring has a better contraceptive effect, but it may be slightly less cost-effective than steel contraceptive rings.
