Why do breasts swell?

Why do breasts swell?

In life, some women feel that their breasts are swollen, which not only makes them feel very uncomfortable, but sometimes even painful. Therefore, there is often a great deal of concern about whether there is breast disease. Why do breasts swell? What is going on? In fact, in this case, we should first consider whether we are pregnant, or whether it occurs before menstruation, and the symptoms of breast hyperplasia.

How to determine what's causing chest pain

If you suspect that breast pain is caused by pregnancy, it is recommended that women use early pregnancy test strips or pregnancy test sticks to check whether they are pregnant, or go to the hospital for a blood test for HCG in the blood. This test result is the most reliable. Once it is confirmed that you are pregnant, there is no need to worry. Breast pain is a kind of early pregnancy reaction and is a normal phenomenon.

If the test result is not pregnancy, you can observe whether your breasts are swollen and painful before menstruation. If menstruation comes after a period of time, it is normal.

However, if you are neither pregnant nor have breast pain before menstruation, you should consider breast hyperplasia. Breast hyperplasia often manifests as pain or tingling, which may occur on one or both sides of the breast, and is usually more severe on one side. When breast hyperplasia is severe, the pain and swelling will worsen and may even be unbearable to touch. Sometimes the pain will radiate to the armpit or shoulder and back on the same side. Therefore, it is recommended to go to the hospital for an ultrasound examination to determine whether you have breast hyperplasia and take appropriate treatment measures.

Breast hyperplasia is actually a common disease among women, which is generally related to women's diet and lifestyle habits. Since the breasts are also one of the important reproductive organs of women, female friends must do a good job of daily breast care and check their breasts regularly. Once any lumps or swellings are found, go to the hospital to determine the cause and treat it.
