Accessory breast refers to an extra breast next to the breast. This breast has no nipple and is different from the real breast. It is a small piece of fat and looks like a sign of weight gain, but in fact it is an accessory breast, which will have a great impact on a person's image. You can go to the hospital to check the breast for accessory breast. After a reasonable diagnosis and treatment, you will recover soon. Disease diagnosis 1. Inflammatory swollen lymph nodes or inflammatory masses in the axilla Inflammatory swollen lymph nodes or inflammatory masses in the axilla are mostly related to inflammatory lesions in the breast, upper chest and ipsilateral upper limb, and there are no nipples or areolas on the corresponding outer skin. The breast tissue of the accessory breast may increase in size and may be painful during menstruation, but its main characteristic is that it is connected to the normal breast tissue. 2. Hyperplasia of the tail of the breast Accessory breast cancer should also be differentiated from the hyperplasia of the tail of the normal breast. The tail of the breast often extends outward to the anterior axillary fold and the armpit. The two are easily confused, and the local manifestations should be understood in detail and, if necessary, removed for pathological examination to prevent missed diagnosis of cancer. 3. Axillary lipoma or other benign tumors. The following points can be used for identification: ① The accessory breast has swelling and pain that comes and goes with the menstrual cycle, while lipoma does not. ② A soft nodular mass of tissue with clear boundaries can be felt in the accessory breast. ③ The accessory breast in the axilla is mostly a soft, lobed or nodular irregular tissue mass with no obvious boundary between the periphery and the normal subcutaneous tissue. It is adhered to the skin but not to the deep tissue. There is a glandular feeling when touched, but lipoma does not. ④ Accessory breast cancer is a hard nodule with unclear boundaries and no conscious pain or tenderness. ⑤ In addition to considering other primary tumors or metastases, the possibility of accessory breast should be considered first for axillary tumors. 4. Abnormal breast tissue refers to breast parenchyma that exceeds the range of normal breast anatomy. The structure of the ducts and lobules that make up the abnormal breast is normal, but not as complete as that of normal breast or accessory breast tissue. Anatomically speaking, abnormal breast tissue is not connected to the mammary duct system and therefore cannot be equated with the surrounding extension of normal breast tissue. Inspection method Laboratory tests: Fine needle aspiration cytology to identify breast tumors. Other auxiliary examinations: Mammography X-rays show that the accessory breast breast tissue is flake-like, clumpy or branched, with clear or blurred edges, discontinuous with the tail breast tissue, and interspersed with low-density linear or strip-like fat shadows. |
