The treatment is mainly based on differentiation, and can be combined with diet therapy.

(1) Internal resistance of damp-heat: Treat by clearing away heat, promoting dampness and promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis. The prescription uses Simiao Pills (Cheng Fangbian Du) and Peach Kernel and Safflower Decoction (Su'an Yi'an) with modifications.

Prescription: 10 grams of Phellodendron chinense, 20 grams of raw coix seed, 10 grams of Atractylodes lancea, 10 grams of Achyranthes bidentata, 10 grams of peach kernel, 10 grams of safflower, 10 grams of red peony root, 12 grams of Angelica sinensis, 10 grams of Chuanxiong, 12 grams of Patrinia herb, 12 grams of Red Clove, and 10 grams of raw licorice. If the menstruation is continuous and red in color, add 10 grams of Leonurus japonicus, 15 grams of Rubia cordifolia, and 12 grams of Platycladus orientalis to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, cool blood and stop bleeding; if the leucorrhea is excessive and yellow in color, add 20 grams of Plantago seed (wrapped and decocted) and 15 grams of Alisma orientalis to clear away dampness and heat.

(2) Blood stasis type: Treat by promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, promoting qi circulation and relieving pain. The prescription is Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction (from "Yi Lin Gaicuo") with modifications.

Prescription: 10 grams of Angelica sinensis, 10 grams of Chuanxiong, 10 grams of peach kernel, 6 grams of safflower, 12 grams of red peony root, 10 grams of bupleurum, 12 grams of Cyathula capitata, 10 grams of Citrus aurantium, and 12 grams of Rehmannia glutinosa. If there is obvious pain in the lower abdomen, add 10 grams of Puhuang, 10 grams of Notopterygium wilfordii, and 10 grams of Cyperus rotundus to promote blood circulation, relieve qi, and relieve pain.

(3) Yin deficiency and internal heat type: Treat with nourishing Yin and clearing heat. The prescription is Zhibai Dihuang Wan (Yi Zong Jin Jian) ​​with modifications.

Prescription: 10 grams of Anemarrhena asphodeloides, 10 grams of Phellodendron chinense, 10 grams of Rehmannia glutinosa, 10 grams of Dioscorea batatas, 10 grams of Cornus officinalis, 10 grams of Moutan bark, 10 grams of Alisma orientalis, 12 grams of Poria cocos, 12 grams of Ligustrum lucidum, and 10 grams of Eclipta prostrata. If the leucorrhea is yellow and smelly, add 12 grams of Patrinia scabra, 15 grams of raw Coix seeds, and 15 grams of Plantago seeds to clear away heat, promote dampness, and stop the leucorrhea; if the patient is irritable and impatient, add 12 grams of stir-fried Gardenia jasminoides, 10 grams of Curcuma aromatica, and 10 grams of Bupleurum chinense to soothe the liver, regulate qi, and clear heat.
