Eczema breastfeeding diet

Eczema breastfeeding diet

I believe that many people have encountered eczema problems in their lives. Eczema refers to the sudden appearance of many bumps on the skin, accompanied by itching and unbearable pain. Eczema is not serious, but it is not mild either. It is a relatively special and common disease. After suffering from eczema, everyone needs to choose the appropriate treatment method according to the physical condition. For babies with eczema, do you need to avoid breast milk?

Infant eczema, commonly known as milk ringworm, is a common allergic skin inflammation caused by multiple factors.

The skin lesions are polymorphic lesions mainly composed of papules and herpes, with a tendency to exudate, recurrent attacks, overlapping acute and chronic phases, accompanied by severe itching, and the cause is often difficult to determine.

The onset of the disease usually occurs 1 to 3 months after birth, gradually improves after 6 months, and most children recover on their own after 1 and a half years old, while some children suffer from the disease until infancy or childhood.

The severity of the disease varies, and the rash is mostly seen on the head and face, gradually spreading to the neck, shoulders, trunk, and limbs.

If you find that your baby has eczema, you need to pay attention to the following aspects and go to the hospital in time to ask a professional pediatrician to prescribe targeted medication (mostly ointments) and treatment.

1. Feeding :

Breastfeeding is encouraged, but when breastfeeding, mothers need to avoid spicy and irritating foods, and try not to drink milk or eat eggs to reduce possible allergens.

If the baby is bottle-fed and develops eczema, there is no need to stop the baby from using milk powder, but it is okay to consider changing it appropriately (because the baby does need milk powder that is more suitable for him/her, and this has nothing to do with whether he/she has eczema or not), unless it is proven that the milk powder aggravates the baby's eczema.

Eggs are the food with the highest positive rate in infant eczema allergen testing. It is recommended not to feed eggs to infants for several months. Instead, they can be fed a small amount of fruit and vegetable juice to ensure nutrition.

Do not feed too much to avoid increasing the burden on the intestines.

2. Skin cleaning:

It is best to test it gently with warm water, choose fewer bath products as much as possible, and reduce the number of baths appropriately to avoid excessive irritation to the skin, and ensure dryness and hygiene.

Try to avoid direct sunlight outdoors, as too strong sunlight is not good for your skin.

3. Clothing:

Try to wear pure cotton clothes (including bed sheets, quilts, etc., pure cotton is also preferred). They should be soft and loose. Use baby-specific detergents when washing, not adults'. Do not wash clothes together with adults' clothes, use the baby's own small basin.

Wash and change clothes frequently and dry them in the sun to help kill bacteria.

4. Maintain a clean environment and make sure the room where the baby lives is clean.

5. Eczema is prone to itching, so try to prevent your baby from scratching it frequently. You can wear long clothes and long pants appropriately, and avoid wearing vests and shorts that will expose large areas of skin and be scratched by your baby. During this period, parents should be mentally prepared and not be too irritable. When the situation is serious, you must seek medical attention in time and use medication for treatment. Baby eczema
