Breast pain every month

Breast pain every month

Breast pain occurs every month mainly due to menstruation and ovulation. This is a normal physiological phenomenon and you don’t need to worry too much. However, when you experience breast pain every month, you should know how to relieve its symptoms. If you have breast pain, you can massage your breasts, which will help relieve blood flow and swelling in the breast area. It is recommended that you should be aware of the cause of the disease.

Most breast pain is not caused by breast cancer

Pain is not a characteristic of breast cancer. In fact, contrary to what everyone thinks, most cancers are painless. Cancer is caused by the mutation of normal cells and has many similar characteristics to normal cells. Our body does not detect obvious abnormalities and it does not cause any reaction in the body. Therefore, early cancer is silent, painless and itchy. This is why cancer is difficult to detect early and regular physical examinations are required. In the late stages of cancer, pain may occur. Take breast cancer as an example. If the tumor invades the chest wall, ribs and intercostal nerves, or invades the skin of the breast, causing ulceration, etc., then very severe pain may occur.

Most breast pain is caused by breast hyperplasia

The most common cause of breast pain is breast hyperplasia. Breast hyperplasia is a benign disease that many patients suffer from. Breast hyperplasia is related to hormone disorders, bad living habits, staying up late, spicy and irritating diet, stress, and bad mood. Because breast hyperplasia is related to estrogen, it is more common in young women and is related to menstruation. Breast hyperplasia generally manifests as breast pain, which can be pain in one or both breasts. It can also manifest as nipple pain, which is more obvious before menstruation and relieved after menstruation. Sometimes diffuse nodules or granular sensations can be felt in the breasts. Some girls become very worried, thinking that the nodules they feel are breast cancer. In fact, the nodules you feel are actually breast hyperplasia nodules, not lumps of breast cancer.

In addition to breast hyperplasia, other conditions can also manifest as breast pain. If breast pain occurs during lactation, you also need to be alert to the possibility of breast milk accumulating, acute mastitis, and breast suppuration. Breast trauma can also cause breast pain. Pain around the breast can also be caused by costal cartilage, intercostal neuralgia, coronary heart disease, shingles, etc. These are not real breast pain, so don't "wrongly blame" the breast.

What to do if you have breast pain

First of all, you should go to the hospital for a check-up to rule out organic breast diseases. Generally speaking, a breast color ultrasound can diagnose breast hyperplasia. Patients with breast hyperplasia need to maintain a good mood, eat less spicy and irritating foods, rest regularly, quit smoking and drinking, avoid staying up late, etc. By changing their lifestyle habits, most patients will feel relief. If the pain persists, they can take some Chinese patent medicines orally, such as Xiaojin Wan, Hongjin Xiaojie, etc.

In short, breast pain is not terrible, and most breast pain is not caused by breast cancer. If one day you suddenly find a hard lump in your breast that does not hurt or itch, you should take it seriously and go to the hospital for a check-up immediately.
