How to determine the gender of pregnancy

How to determine the gender of pregnancy

The country has already made laws that explicitly prohibit checking the sex of the fetus, because since ancient times, the Chinese nation has had the idea of valuing girls over boys. They all stubbornly believe that only boys can be the heirs of the family, but this is not the case. Boys and girls are the same, both are the crystallization of the love of couples, so no matter whether it is a boy or a girl, they should not be discriminated against, and checking the sex of the fetus should be avoided as much as possible. So how to determine the gender of the baby during pregnancy?

How to determine the gender of pregnancy in early stages?

There is a folk rumor that the gender of the fetus can be determined by looking at the shape of the gestational sac on the B-ultrasound report. If the length and width of the gestational sac differ by more than twice and the shape is long and narrow, then it is likely to be a boy. If the length and width of the gestational sac are equal, or the difference is not too big, and it is oval or round, it is likely to be a baby girl. Secondly, there is a folk saying that the gender of the fetus can be determined by the fetal heart rate. If the fetal heart rate is less than 140 beats/minute, the fetus is a boy. In general, girls have higher heart rates than boys. The normal heart rate of the fetus is between 120 beats/minute and 160 beats/minute. Experts point out that special instruments are needed to listen to the fetal heart rate. The fetal heart rate can be heard in a very quiet environment with a Doppler stethoscope around 12 weeks of pregnancy. We recommend that expectant mothers go to the hospital to listen to the fetal heart rate, or use a fetal talker at home. The mobile phone software of the fetal talker also has a gender test function. Finally, can the sex of the fetus be determined from the B-ultrasound data? Generally speaking, the data on the B-ultrasound report include biparietal diameter, abdominal circumference, femur length, gestational sac and fetal heart rate, etc. The placenta, amniotic fluid, umbilical cord, fetal spine, etc. can also be observed from the B-ultrasound.

According to folk sayings, the gender of the fetus can be determined through B-ultrasound data in the following ways:

1. Check the gestational sac. By looking at the ultrasound report at 40-50 days of pregnancy, you can tell the gender of the fetus by observing the size and shape of the gestational sac. If the gestational sac is oval or round, it is a girl, and if it is elongated, it is a boy.

2. Look at the biparietal diameter and femoral length: the biparietal diameter is the transverse diameter of the fetus's head, and the femoral length is the length of the fetus's thigh bone. The older generation says that a boy has a longer head and shorter legs, that is, biparietal diameter minus femur length > 2; a girl has a smaller difference between her head and legs.

What does early pregnancy feel like?

After menopause, pregnant women will gradually feel some abnormal phenomena, which are called early pregnancy reactions. The earliest feeling is fear of cold, followed by fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, loss of appetite, picky eating, fear of greasy smells, nausea when waking up in the morning, and even vomiting. When safe, there are also symptoms such as dizziness, physical fatigue, and listlessness. This is a symptom discovered by women themselves based on their feelings or their own physiological conditions. The truth is that everyone's early pregnancy feelings are not exactly the same. Generally, the following situations will occur: 1. Menstruation stops. This is the most common sign of pregnancy that most people notice. As long as a woman is of childbearing age and has normal menstruation, she may be pregnant if she has sexual intercourse for more than two weeks after the normal menstrual period.

But not having your period does not necessarily mean you are pregnant. There are many reasons why your period may not come: poor ovarian function, abnormal hormone secretion, busy work, exam stress, etc., all of which can cause your period to be late. Therefore, it is best to get a doctor's diagnosis, which is the safest. 2. The breasts feel tingling, swollen and itchy. These are physiological phenomena in early pregnancy. In addition, there will be changes such as darkening of the areola, obvious veins under the skin of the breast, and obvious protrusion of the nipple. 3. Frequent feeling of nausea and vomiting. Almost all pregnant women in the early stages of pregnancy often feel nauseous and vomiting, especially at the beginning of the day. These symptoms vary from person to person, and some people have very mild symptoms, while others have very severe symptoms. You don't need to see a doctor unless you have severe nausea and vomiting. Otherwise, these are normal phenomena in early pregnancy. 4. Changes in skin color. Skin pigmentation or stretch marks may occur on the abdominal wall, especially in the later stages of pregnancy. 5. Vaginal mucosal discoloration: In the early stages of pregnancy, the vaginal mucosa may appear darker in color due to congestion. These are determined by the physician.
