What happens if menstruation comes right after ovulation?

A fertilized egg is formed only when a man's sperm combines with a woman's egg. We have known this since we learned biology in school. Relatively speaking, men have a lot of sperm, but women have very few eggs, even just one at a time, so female ovulation is still very important. So the question is, what happens if menstruation comes right after ovulation?

If the menstrual cycle is stable and regular, menstruation will usually come about 9 days after ovulation, and there will usually be some uncomfortable symptoms before menstruation.

Ovulation day

A woman's ovulation date is generally about 14 days before the next menstrual period. Starting from the first day of the next menstrual period, counting down 14 days or subtracting 14 days is the ovulation day. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after the ovulation day are called the ovulation period. Safe period. Many people think that there is no need to use any contraceptive drugs or tools during sexual intercourse during the safe period. In fact, the "safe period" is not absolutely safe, because men's sperm can survive in women's bodies for 3 to 5 days, and women's ovulation date may also be advanced or delayed. Therefore, it is very unsafe to rely solely on safe period contraception. Taking contraceptive drugs correctly or using condoms can ensure the contraceptive rate to the greatest extent.

Conception time

Since the average survival and fertilization time of an egg is 12 to 24 hours, if you want to get pregnant, you can easily get pregnant by having sex 1 to 2 days before ovulation or within 24 hours after ovulation.

Calculation method

1. Basal body temperature measurement method

The body temperature of a healthy person will also show slight changes at different times. The body temperature of an adult woman will fluctuate with the menstrual cycle, especially the ovulation day will experience greater fluctuations, so the ovulation period can be estimated by measuring the basal body temperature.

The specific method is: use a thermometer to measure your sublingual temperature just after waking up in the morning for several consecutive days, and then record it. Generally speaking, a woman's body temperature fluctuates less before ovulation. The basal body temperature will suddenly drop on the ovulation day, and then rise again after ovulation, and will remain so until the menstrual period comes, when the body temperature drops again.

2. Ovulation pain perception method

Some women may feel slight pain in one side of their lower abdomen on a day between their periods, but it will pass after a while and there will be no abnormalities in the physical examination. It is very likely ovulation pain, which is mainly caused by the ovulation process. The date of ovulation can be accurately calculated from this.

3. Menstrual cycle calculation method

It is easiest to calculate your ovulation period based on your own menstrual cycle. The calculation formula is: the first day of ovulation = the shortest menstrual cycle minus 18 days, the last day of ovulation = the longest menstrual cycle minus 11 days. The calculation method is to take the first day of menstruation as the base point and count the days backwards. For example, if a woman's menstrual cycle in the previous few months was at most 30 days and at most 28 days, then the first day of ovulation = 28 days - 18 days = 10 days, and the last day of ovulation = 30 days - 11 days = 19 days. In other words, her ovulation period is the 10th day of this menstruation, and the last day is the 19th day of this menstruation.
