Can I have sex after I just finished the 5-item bacterial test?

Many women in life suffer from gynecological diseases. There are many types of bacterial vaginosis. One of the tests that women with bacterial vaginosis must do during their physical examination is the five-item bacterial test. It is very effective in treating diseases, and the right medicine can be prescribed based on the examination results. Many women have strong sexual desire and want to have sex after completing the five bacterial tests. So, can I have sex after I have just completed the five-item bacterial test?

After completing the five bacterial tests, it is best not to have sexual intercourse within three days. This is because during the examination, the female's vagina and cervix are opened by instruments, which may inevitably cause slight injuries and the entry of bacteria. At this time, having sex may cause vaginal infection and gynecological inflammation if you are not careful. It is recommended to abstain from sexual intercourse for one week.

There are five types of bacterial examinations, namely 1. Smear microscopy: taking secretions for smears can find clue cells (Clue cells). Clue cells are epithelial cells with a large number of Gardnerella attached to the surface. The characteristic is that the surface of the epithelial cells is rough or has fine particles, as if sprinkled with a layer of flour. The bacteria are Gram-negative coccal rods.

2. Amine test: Take a drop of 10% potassium hydroxide solution and add it to the vaginal secretions. You can smell the release of "fishy" ammonia. This is because the amount of amine in the secretions is relatively high, which can release an ammonia smell when it comes into contact with alkali.

3. Culture method: Isolate first and then culture. Round, opaque, smooth colonies with a diameter of 0.5 mm can be seen.

4. Biochemical method: Take vaginal secretions for biochemical analysis. Normal women have high lactate levels and low succinate levels, while women with this disease have the opposite values.

5. Fluorescent antibody method: After smearing, use fluorescent antibody to stain and examine under a microscope.
