Some girls who have just started menstruating often have irregular menstruation, with the amount of menstruation fluctuating. These are all normal. Girls who have just entered puberty should not be nervous. Some girls report that the amount of menstruation is very small in the first two days. Don't worry, as long as the menstrual period duration and amount are normal, it is normal. This article introduces the conditions of girls’ menstruation. Let’s take a look and learn about it. Is it normal to have light menstrual flow in the first two days? After a girl enters puberty, her uterus will experience periodic bleeding every 28 days or so, which is menstruation. Normal women start menstruating during puberty and, except during pregnancy and lactation, have regular menstrual cycles until menopause. Why do girls have menstruation? This is related to the cyclical changes of the endometrium. The endometrium is divided into two layers. The surface layer is called the functional layer. The changes in the menstrual cycle mainly occur in this layer, which undergoes shedding and repair every menstrual cycle. The layer close to the muscle is called the basal layer. After the functional layer falls off during the menstrual cycle, a new functional layer is produced from this layer. The endometrium undergoes periodic changes as the ovaries release ovulation. When a girl is born, there are many primordial follicles in her ovaries. After entering puberty, generally one follicle matures every month. The discharge of the egg from the mature follicle from the ovary into the abdominal cavity is called ovulation. The ovulation day is roughly in the middle of two menstruations, which is about 14 days before the next menstruation. Before ovulation, the ovaries produce estrogen during the development of follicles. The endometrium is affected by estrogen and gradually thickens to about 2 mm. At this time, the glands of the endometrium grow, the arteries thicken and become curved, and the connective tissue proliferates. After the follicle ruptures and releases the egg, it immediately shrinks to form a corpus luteum. In addition to secreting estrogen, the corpus luteum can also secrete progesterone. Under the action of estrogen and progesterone, the endometrium continues to thicken to about 5 mm. At this time, the endometrial glands grow further, the secretions of glandular cells increase, the arteries become more dilated and congested, and the fluid in the connective tissue increases. This change in the endometrium is to prepare for the entry of the egg after fertilization. If the egg is fertilized, the fertilized egg will be implanted (implanted) on this soft, thick, and vascular endometrium, and the endometrium will continue to grow and develop. At the same time, under the action of the corpus luteum, it will not fall off, and there will be no menstruation. If the egg is not fertilized, the corpus luteum will gradually degenerate, the secretion of estrogen and progesterone will decrease sharply, the endometrium will suddenly lose the effect of hormones, the blood vessels will continue to contract, causing ischemia of the functional layer of the endometrium, causing tissue necrosis, followed by artery dilation, causing acute congestion of the capillaries, and the necrotic functional layer of the endometrium will peel off and be discharged along with the blood and mucus secreted by the cervix. This is menstruation. The menstrual period is generally 3-5 days. During this period, the functional layer of the endometrium peels off, causing intrauterine wounds. 6-14 days after the menstrual period, the basal epithelial cells of the endometrium divide and proliferate, move to the ruptured wounds, gradually repair and form a new functional layer. At this time, new egg cells in the ovaries are growing, maturing, ovulating, forming a corpus luteum, and producing sex hormones, causing the endometrium to proliferate, peel off, and bleed again, and another menstruation occurs. The ovaries release once a month, which results in menstruation occurring once a month. Menstruation is a normal and healthy physiological activity of women, and it also represents the health status of women. Therefore, it is normal for girls to have menstruation. Don't think it is a "shameful thing" or "unlucky thing". You should pay attention to hygiene during menstruation, as well as emotional and life adjustments, so that menstruation remains normal and young girls are healthy. The onset of menstruation represents the gradual maturation of female physiology. When the follicles mature, endocrine system will cause the uterine wall to become congested and thickened to allow the fertilized egg to implant on the uterine wall. But when the egg and sperm fail to combine, endocrine secretion will decrease, causing the endometrium to automatically peel off, resulting in menstruation. Starting from the first menstrual period, record the time of each menstrual period. After a period of time, you will be very clear about your menstrual period. The period from the first day of menstruation to the day before the next menstruation is called the menstrual cycle. Most normal cycles are 28 days, but not everyone has the same period. It can be anywhere from 21 days to 40 days. As long as there is regularity, it is normal. The body's resistance is weaker during menstruation, so you need to live a regular life. In addition, you should also pay attention to changing menstrual pads (sanitary napkins) frequently, avoid strenuous exercise, but there is no need to restrict your normal exercise, and keep a happy mood. Menstrual flow is light, dark, and contains blood clots There are many manifestations of menstrual irregularities caused by endocrine disorders, among which scanty, dark menstrual flow with blood clots is a more common symptom. What's going on? Blood clots during menstruation are generally caused by the shedding of large chunks of the endometrium, which makes blood clots more likely to occur. If a small amount of blood clots appear, it will not have much impact. However, if there are blood clots for several consecutive periods and the amount of blood clots is large, it may be caused by blood stasis and should be adjusted in time. If the symptoms of blood clots during menstruation are severe, you should go to the hospital to check whether there are other causes of the disease. Why is the menstrual flow small, black and with blood clots? Blood clots will appear if you catch a cold during menstruation. If blood clots exist for a long time, there is a possibility of uterine fibroids. Menstrual blood clots rarely occur in young people. If there are blood clots during menstruation, you can go to the hospital for examination to see what the cause is. Under normal circumstances, menstruation is bright red, without dark purple blood clots. Once menstruation with dark blood clots occurs, it is often accompanied by dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea often causes patients to become mentally tense and emotionally unstable. Chinese medicine believes that women with scanty, dark menstrual flow and blood clots are suffering from blood stasis. Generally, this is a manifestation of qi stagnation and blood stasis, such as rough, dull skin and acne on the face. Some patients experience facial pigmentation, which directly affects their facial beauty. If you encounter this situation, it is generally recommended to use Chinese medicine for treatment. According to the symptoms and signs, the methods of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, regulating qi and unblocking collaterals can have better effects. For example, taking Chinese medicines such as safflower, peach kernel, mint, kuncao, zelan and red peony root for conditioning can have good effects on improving symptoms and signs. However, this should be taken under the guidance of a doctor. |
