Why is the vaginal discharge green and sticky?

Gynecological diseases are the most private diseases for female friends. Many people just endure these diseases and never seek medical treatment. Take leucorrhea for example. Normal leucorrhea is milky white and transparent, but if it is abnormal, it means that gynecological disease has arrived. In various gynecological diseases, the color of leucorrhea also presents different states, so what is the matter with leucorrhea being green and sticky?

1. Endometritis:

Postpartum infection and infected abortion are the most common causes of endometritis, which is also the most serious type. Symptoms of endometritis include mild fever, lower abdominal pain, and increased vaginal discharge. Leucorrhea is sometimes bloody, and if it is caused by anaerobic bacteria, the discharge will be foul-smelling.

2. Vaginitis:

Trichomonas vaginitis is a common vaginitis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis. If you have Trichomonas vaginitis, the leucorrhea will be light yellow, gray or milky white, thin, abundant, and have a foul or mouse odor. It contains fine foam and is sometimes mixed with blood and is pink and purulent. Vulvar itching is also one of the symptoms of Trichomonas vaginitis.

3. Cervical disease:

Normal leucorrhea should be milky white or colorless and transparent, with a slightly fishy smell or no smell. If the leucorrhea is green, it may also be caused by cervical disease. There are two common cervical diseases, namely cervicitis and cervical erosion.

4. Notes

When the leucorrhea is green, while taking medication for treatment, you should also pay attention to keeping the vulva clean and dry. Avoid scratching when your vulva is itchy, which can cause skin damage. During the treatment period, couples are prohibited from having sex, underwear should be made of cotton material, and clean underwear should be changed every day. When the leucorrhea turns green and the symptoms improve, you still need to go to the hospital for regular check-ups. Don't think that you are cured just because the symptoms are under control. Sometimes the symptoms will relapse, so you need to pay attention to follow-up visits in time. For your own health, don't be afraid of trouble and don't be afraid to see a doctor.
