Lactation meridian diagram

Lactation meridian diagram

New mothers are usually anxious because their breast milk is not enough. We know that some drugs and foods can affect the secretion of breast milk. Therefore, when the milk supply does not meet the needs of the baby, new mothers often use professionals to stimulate the secretion of breast milk with scientific techniques.

The current methods of inducing lactation are mainly based on traditional Chinese medicine, massage and lactation soup.

Massage and lactation therapy can promote the dilation of local capillaries, increase vascular permeability, accelerate blood flow, improve local blood circulation, and facilitate the secretion and excretion of milk.

Acupoint selection for breast care

The precise location of Yu points is also called the acupoint selection method, which is the basic way to determine the location of Yu points. Each acupoint has its own location. In clinical medicine, the precise positioning of acupoints directly affects the treatment effect. To ensure accurate positioning, you must master the positioning method. There are three common positioning methods.

1. Anatomical marking method for acupoint selection

The acupoints can be selected based on the relevant anatomical marks of the human body, which can be divided into two categories: fixed marks and movable marks.

(1) Fixed marking:

Fixed marks are marks that are not affected by body movements and remain fixed, such as the facial features, eyebrows, and spleen marks. The chest and abdomen are marked by the nipples, scapulae, umbilicus, and toes.

(2) Activity label:

Activity marks refer to marks that only appear when an effective posture is taken, including cracks in the skin, indentations or protrusions in the muscles, the porosity between bone joints, or the position of the fingers on the hand as the basis for locating the acupoints.

2. Finger measurement method

Finger measurement is a method of accurately measuring and locating acupuncture points using the patient's fingers as a standard.

(1) Middle thumb inch: The middle of the two inner lines of the middle segment of the patient's middle thumb is taken as 1 inch. It is used for the vertical inch of locating acupoints on the limbs and the horizontal inch of selecting acupoints on the back.

(2) Thumb and body inch: The horizontal width of the patient's thumb joint is taken as 1 inch. It is also applicable to the vertical inch selection of acupoints on the limbs.

(3) Horizontal finger width: The horizontal width of the ring finger and middle thumb together is 1.5 inches; the horizontal width of the ring finger, middle finger, ring finger and little finger together is 3 inches (the vertical line on the middle section of the middle thumb is used as the standard) for selecting acupoints on the limbs and abdomen.

3. Find feedback

Acupoints are the areas where reflections occur. When there is abnormality in the human body, various reactions will appear on the acupoints.

This reflection includes:

(1) If you press with your fingers, you will feel pain (pressure pain);

(2) There is a hard lump (lump) when touched with a finger;

(3) The skin will itch (feel more sensitive) at the slightest stimulation;

(4) The appearance of moles and spots (pigmentation);

(5) There is a temperature difference (temperature transition) with the surrounding skin.

Whether this reaction occurs or not is the key indicator of whether there are acupuncture points. Before finding the acupoints, press lightly and squeeze the skin to look for any reactions. If you experience any of the above reactions, then the acupoints you have chosen are appropriate.

Common questions about breast care massage

1. Long-lasting, powerful, symmetrical, gentle and deep are organically unified. They are closely related and closely connected, and penetrate each other, and none of them can be missing.

2. The actual operation position is different from the selection of acupoints. The strength of the technique and the actual operation time should be changed according to the person, time, person, disease and treatment position. Excessive or insufficient force will affect the actual effect of massage.

3. During the entire operation process, the lactation consultant must concentrate and focus on ensuring that "the mind, energy and strength are all in place" in order to achieve good results.
