Why do pregnant women always have diarrhea?

During pregnancy, pregnant women's immunity will be low and their resistance will be much weaker than before. Therefore, you should pay special attention to eating, traveling, etc. If a pregnant woman often suffers from diarrhea, it may be related to diet, or it may be caused by catching a cold due to cold weather. Or they may be symptoms caused by some diseases, which require special attention, early discovery of the cause, early treatment, and attention to using physical methods as much as possible instead of drug treatment.

Pregnant women have a special physique. During pregnancy, their body resistance decreases, their estrogen levels change, and their dietary structure changes. These factors can cause diarrhea in pregnant women. Besides this, there are some other reasons.

1. Infectious factors: Pregnant women often feel tired, and their body resistance and immunity will be reduced. At this time, many viruses and bacteria can easily take advantage of the situation and invade. If the digestive tract is infected by bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella, or rotavirus, echovirus, etc., uncomfortable symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting will occur.

2. Dietary factors: Pregnant women have greater mood swings and their appetites may also change, making them prone to irregular eating habits. Sometimes my appetite increases; sometimes my appetite decreases; sometimes I crave raw and cold food; sometimes I want to eat whole grains. Such eating habits can easily lead to gastrointestinal discomfort and cause diarrhea. Some pregnant women may also experience diarrhea if they eat allergic foods such as seafood.

3. Chronic disease factors: If the pregnant woman suffers from colitis, tumor, or enteritis, she is more likely to suffer from diarrhea during pregnancy.

4. Environmental factors: The peristalsis of the small intestine of pregnant women slows down and is easily disturbed by external factors. When the abdomen gets cold, intestinal motility speeds up abnormally, gastrointestinal discomfort occurs, and diarrhea is likely to occur. Therefore, pregnant women should pay close attention to temperature changes and not let their abdomen get cold.

5. Symptoms of diarrhea in pregnant women: People usually call diarrhea "diarrhea", and "diarrhea" is a common symptom in people's daily life. Due to the special characteristics of their own bodies, pregnant women tend to attract more attention when they have diarrhea symptoms. Generally, diarrhea in pregnant women has the following three symptoms. Only when these three symptoms exist at the same time can it be called diarrhea in pregnant women. ① Increased frequency of bowel movements: When pregnant women have diarrhea, they go to the bathroom to defecate much more frequently than usual. If it is more than 2 times a day, you should be careful. ② Changes in stool shape: When pregnant women have diarrhea, the shape, color, and smell of their stool will change. The stool will become very thin, and pus, blood, mucus, and food residues may be seen in the stool. If a pregnant woman eats greasy food, fat will float in the toilet. Usually the feces will appear as yellow liquid or green sticky frozen state, accompanied by a foul odor, and is easy to observe. ③Abdominal pain, anal discomfort, etc.: Pregnant women often experience abdominal pain, burning pain in the anus, urgency when defecating, and even "incontinence" when they have diarrhea.
