How to distinguish between pregnancy and stomach discomfort

How to distinguish between pregnancy and stomach discomfort

Pregnant mothers may also encounter stomach discomfort because the uterus presses on the stomach and intestines, which can cause some changes in gastrointestinal function. This will have a great impact on the abdomen of pregnant mothers. Everyone should pay attention to distinguish between pregnancy and stomach discomfort, and distinguish them through symptoms, causes and examinations.

The cause of vomiting during pregnancy is still unknown:

1. Rapid changes in hormones

Once pregnant, a woman's hormones will change dramatically. Morning sickness occurs because the body cannot handle this drastic change.

2. Immune response in pregnant mothers

It is said that a pregnant mother's body will produce an immune system that regards the baby as a "foreign body" and wants to reject the fetus, and "morning sickness" is an allergic reaction caused by this.

3. To protect the fetus

This reaction occurs to protect the baby during this important period in early pregnancy, in order to prevent the mother from eating too much or exercising too much.

4. Recent studies have found that hyperemesis gravidarum may also be related to infection with Helicobacter pylori.

Pregnancy test method

B-ultrasound examination ? Using B-ultrasound to diagnose early pregnancy is the most accurate and reliable method. As early as the 5th week of pregnancy, which is one week after the menstrual period, a round halo in the uterus, also known as the pregnancy ring, can be seen on the B-type ultrasound screen. The dark area inside the ring is amniotic fluid, in which a rhythmic fetal heartbeat can also be seen.

Pregnancy test

This test can provide the earliest diagnosis of pregnancy. When the fertilized egg is implanted in the uterus, a new hormone called chorionic gonadotropin is produced in the pregnant woman's body, which helps maintain the pregnancy. This hormone can be detected in urine about 10 days after conception. If human chorionic gonadotropin is detected in the urine, it is normally a sign of pregnancy. Therefore, the test for human chorionic gonadotropin in urine is called a pregnancy test. For urine pregnancy tests, be sure to use morning urine because morning urine is concentrated and has higher hormone levels. In order to increase the positive rate of the test, you should try to reduce your water intake the night before. It is best to get a container from the hospital laboratory in advance, because it contains preservatives and the urine is not easy to deteriorate. If conditions permit, any wide-mouth bottle can be used, but it needs to be washed and boiled for sterilization or rinsed with boiling water. After collecting about 10 ml of morning urine, send it to the hospital for testing immediately. If the time is delayed too long, it may affect the accuracy of the test. This should be paid more attention to in the summer.
