Newborn baby clothes: 2-3 sets. Bath towels, washcloths, and handkerchiefs: Prepare two large bath towels, which will be used when bathing the baby in the hospital; prepare a few more small towels and gauze handkerchiefs, which can be used as bibs and for washing.

Baby toiletries: bottle cleaning liquid, baby laundry detergent, shampoo and shower gel two-in-one, body lotion, talcum powder, diaper cream.

Wet wipes and cotton balls: Wet wipes can be used to wipe the face, hands and butt, so prepare more; cotton balls can be used with wet wipes for special care.

Other supplies: baby cotton swabs for dipping ears and noses; umbilical cord protector to protect belly button; bottle brush to clean bottles and nipples; baby-specific nail clippers, thermometer, water thermometer, fever-reducing patch, and small toys.

Important items for hospital admission

Admission documents: Be sure to bring hospital medical card, mother and child health handbook, ID card, birth permit, household registration booklet, etc.

Bank cards and cash: You need to prepare both. Be sure to bring cash with you, as it will be convenient when buying small items. If the hospital does not accept card payments, cash will be even more necessary. You should clarify the payment method with the hospital in advance.
