How long after the ring can I have sex

We all know that giving women an IUD was a popular contraceptive measure in the 1990s. Although this contraceptive measure is long-lasting and effective, it is still very harmful to women's bodies. If the IUD cannot be inserted under sterile conditions, it is likely to cause uterine infection or inflammation in women. So, how long after a woman has an IUD can she have sex?

Usually you can have sex after half a month. In addition, you should pay attention to the following points after the IUD is inserted:

1. Do not do heavy physical labor within one week, avoid abdominal pressure, and avoid sexual intercourse and bathing within two weeks.

2. Keep the vulva clean, wash it every day, and change underwear frequently.

3. You should receive follow-up visits from medical staff during the first menstruation after the insertion of the IUD and in the 3rd, 6th and 12th months after the insertion, and have 1-2 check-ups each year thereafter.

4. After the IUD is inserted, a small amount of vaginal bleeding, back pain, lower abdominal distension and pain may occur. Mild cases can be left untreated. Severe symptoms, such as bleeding exceeding the menstrual volume, should be diagnosed and treated in time. If necrosis or prolapse is found or pregnancy symptoms occur, go to the family planning service center or hospital for examination in time.

After the IUD placement surgery, sexual intercourse is prohibited for one week to half a month, because there will be a "running-in period" between the IUD and the female body. Starting sexual intercourse too early will cause the IUD to deviate or fall off, and it may also easily cause women to suffer from gynecological inflammation, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, cervicitis, etc.

After the IUD surgery, some women will experience a small amount of vaginal bleeding. In order to prevent postoperative infection and protect your health, it is best not to have sex at this time.

Women can have sexual intercourse half a month after the IUD is inserted, but it should be noted that post-insertion care should be taken seriously to avoid the IUD falling off and causing an unexpected pregnancy.

Women should refer to their own specific circumstances and combine them with the doctor's advice so that they can have a good first sexual experience after the IUD is inserted.
