Some women find that they experience pain in their femur after childbirth. The pain makes them feel uncomfortable when sitting down, seriously affecting their life and work. The most troublesome thing is that you will feel pain and discomfort in your femur when you sit. Especially when it comes to pressure, the longer you sit, the more it hurts. Some women may feel uncomfortable even when lying down. So how can you treat and prevent hip pain? Treatment of femoral pain is generally divided into two types: conservative treatment and surgical treatment. Conservative treatment of femoral pain may take several weeks or even several months. If there is no improvement after a long period of conservative treatment and the femoral joint is obviously unstable or loose, the femur can be removed surgically. It will take about four to eight months for the symptoms to improve after the operation. Mothers can use the following four methods to relieve and treat postpartum femoral pain: 1. When you have femoral pain, you can apply hot compress to increase local blood circulation and relax local muscles. 2. Lie on your back. When sitting, be careful not to let the painful area come into contact with hard objects. It is best to sit on a soft cushion or rubber ring. 3. Femoral pain will generally gradually ease 1-2 months after delivery, in order to avoid this phenomenon. If the baby is too heavy (over 4 kg) or the mother has a narrow pelvis, surgical intervention or cesarean section should be performed promptly during delivery. 4. If the postpartum pain does not subside or improve, see a doctor as soon as possible and take necessary treatment. How to prevent postpartum hip pain In order to avoid the pain of femoral pain after childbirth, it is best to do preventive work before childbirth to avoid or relieve femoral pain. How to prevent postpartum hip pain? 1. Actively participate in physical exercise to enhance muscle and ligament tension. 2. Pregnant women should not stay absolutely still during pregnancy. They can do some thigh flexion and extension exercises, but should avoid large-scale movements of the waist and hips and other strenuous exercises. 3. If a pelvic joint suffers from tuberculosis, rheumatism or softening, pregnancy should be avoided after recovery. 4. Nutrition during pregnancy should be moderate to prevent the fetus, especially the fetal head, from being too large and compressing the coccyx during delivery. At the same time, avoid chronic cough, constipation and other conditions to avoid further increasing abdominal pressure. Heavy physical labor, especially weight-bearing walking, should be avoided in the middle and late stages of pregnancy. 5. If the baby is too heavy (over 4 kg) or the mother has a narrow pelvis, surgical assistance or caesarean section should be performed in time during delivery. |
