How to treat hemorrhoids during confinement

During the confinement period, women generally need to breastfeed their children. During this period, mothers must ensure their physical health to ensure the quality of milk. However, many problems may arise during the confinement period, such as hemorrhoids, which is a relatively common problem. During the confinement period, medication cannot be used for treatment, so mothers may wish to try the following methods to relieve hemorrhoid symptoms!

1. Health conditioning method

Chinese medicine believes that anal diseases are closely related to emotional distress, anger and irritability. Many people in life suffer from hemorrhoid attacks due to excessive fatigue. Because fatigue can reduce the elastic tension of tissues, reduce resistance, and cause blood vessels in the anus to dilate and become congested, which can cause illness. It can be seen that it is an important step in preventing and treating hemorrhoids for the mother to maintain a cheerful, optimistic and open-minded mood and pay attention to the combination of work and rest.

2. Daily life conditioning method

The mother should have a regular life, have regular bowel movements every day, keep the bowels open, change underwear frequently, wash the anus frequently, and keep the vulva dry. As the saying goes, wash once after defecation and hemorrhoids will not appear. After defecation, some tiny fecal residues that cannot be wiped off are often left in the skin folds around the anus. Since hemorrhoids often prolapse, local swelling and inflammation, and varicose veins become increasingly severe, the skin folds around the anus will gradually increase, thereby increasing the amount of embedded feces. These impurities irritate the anus and cause itching or infection. Therefore, you should insist on washing the vulva with warm water after daily bowel movements.

3. Drug conditioning method

Cleaning the vulva or taking a sitz bath with potassium permanganate solution every day is especially effective in treating hemorrhoids. To relieve anal pain, you can also apply local cold or hot compresses.

4. Exercise conditioning method

Appropriate exercise can reduce venous pressure, enhance the function of the cardiovascular system, eliminate constipation, and increase muscle strength, which is very effective in the prevention and treatment of hemorrhoids. Anal lifting exercise is the simplest and most effective method. If you can persist in it, you will get twice the result with half the effort.

5. Physical conditioning

Postpartum hemorrhoids are caused by the increase in abdominal pressure as the uterus grows after pregnancy, especially in the late pregnancy, when the inferior vena cava becomes congested and dilated. In particular, during delivery, uterine contractions gradually increase, and the mother is very likely to develop hemorrhoid incarceration when holding her breath and pushing. After hemorrhoids are incarcerated, the internal hemorrhoids protrude outside the anus. The sphincter spasms and cannot be reset on its own, causing congestion and edema. The protruding inner core also stimulates the peripheral nerves around the anus, causing swelling and pain. In severe cases, ischemic necrosis may occur. In addition to surgery, physical conditioning methods include cryotherapy, infrared irradiation therapy, microwave therapy, radiofrequency therapy, etc. However, they are rarely used now because of uncertain efficacy or more complications. At present, the clinical practice is more inclined to use biomagnetic therapy: the hemorrhoid-eliminating belt uses high-tech neodymium iron boron biomagnetic field to act on the Guanyuan, Qihai, Huiyin, Changqiang and other acupuncture points of the human body according to the theory of meridians in traditional Chinese medicine, so that the biomagnetic field can continuously release biological energy and act on relevant acupuncture points in the body, open up the blood circulation in the hemorrhoids, eliminate stagnation of qi and blood, open up blocked meridians, eliminate inflammation and swelling and pain, promote the dilution of congested, coagulated or semi-coagulated blood in the lesion site, and restore the normal circulation of blood in the hemorrhoidal veins, so that the hemorrhoids will gradually shrink and disappear. At the same time, it can also regulate gastrointestinal function and reduce constipation and diarrhea.
