Urate crystals are not easy to form in the human body under normal circumstances. Only when the human body's uric acid concentration remains high (more than 420 μmol/L for men and more than 360 μmol/L for women), the concentration of slightly soluble uric acid in the blood is relatively high and exceeds the saturation concentration, will urate crystals be formed.

This type of crystals mainly accumulate in the joints of the human body, causing severe inflammatory pain, which is actually gouty arthritis. During the process of renal tubular damage and over-metabolism, they accumulate in the kidneys of the human body, which can easily lead to kidney stones.

So, will crystals form immediately if the blood uric acid level is higher? This is of course not true. Whether urate forms crystals varies greatly from person to person. The uric acid level of some people will not exceed the standard, but gout may still occur from then on. The presence of urate crystals can still be found during examination.

Therefore, exceeding the standard of uric acid does not necessarily lead to the formation of crystals, and not exceeding the standard does not necessarily mean that crystals will not be formed. On this issue, it is related to several factors such as our personal physical constitution and genetic factors, and the individual differences are relatively large.

However, although high uric acid levels do not necessarily produce crystals or cause gout, if the uric acid level is too high and reaches saturation, the risk of uric acid crystal formation may increase significantly.

Therefore, for the problem of high uric acid, we should not ignore it just because there are no related symptoms. Moreover, the absence of any symptoms does not mean that blood uric acid has not formed crystals, and gout does not occur overnight.

It is because of the continuous accumulation of urate crystals that eventually lead to joint pain. Although gout attacks are very sudden, it is usually caused by long-term high uric acid levels in certain pathogenic factors. Gout can be regarded as a chronic disease.

So how can we quickly dissolve uric acid crystals?

1. Drinking a lot of water is the most direct and fastest way. After water enters our blood, it can quickly reduce the body's blood uric acid content and can excrete blood uric acid from the body through urination.

2. Alkaline foods or soda: can immediately de-urize the human blood and neutralize the human body's uric acid. Red mulberry and lemon are relatively good.

3. Foods that are beneficial to diuresis and defecation: such as bamboo leaves, melons, cucumbers and lettuce, etc., these can actually promote the metabolism of uric acid in the human body.

In addition to clearing the body's blood uric acid, we also need to reduce the generation of blood uric acid as much as possible:

1. Refuse to eat foods high in purine: such as animal organs, seafood, beans, hot pot and fungi. They are actually all converted into blood uric acid.

2. Drugs that inhibit the conversion of blood uric acid: for example, Febuxostat and allopurinol tablets.

3. Avoid alcohol: No matter what kind of alcohol it is, if it contains ethanol, it is not good.

4. Actively treat diseases that cause cell damage and do not take medicines that cause increased blood uric acid, such as aspirin, diuretics and other related medicines.

However, in the process of lowering uric acid, there are several things to pay attention to that need to be told to everyone, for reference:

1. Asymptomatic high uric acid levels also need to be controlled. Urate crystals do not cause gout or kidney stones or other related diseases once they are formed, but if the uric acid level is too saturated.

As a result, the probability of blood uric acid turning into crystals will be very high. Long-term high uric acid levels will have a relatively adverse effect on our body. Therefore, even if high uric acid levels are not normal, you should pay attention to controlling your blood uric acid. It is more worthy of your attention to control blood uric acid before gout occurs.

2. It is not suitable to lower uric acid too quickly or too hastily. Some friends always want to lower their blood uric acid as soon as possible, but in fact, if uric acid is lowered too quickly, it will cause the crystals in the joints to dissolve. During the dissolution process, smaller crystals are produced, which may irritate the joints of the body and cause pain.

If you take medicine to lower uric acid, we still recommend starting with small doses, regularly testing your uric acid levels, and increasing the dose appropriately based on the degree of reduction in blood uric acid to reduce your blood uric acid. Don't rush for quick results.

3. Regardless of whether you take medicine or not, you must pay attention to the following in your daily life: not all patients with high uric acid need to take medicine. For patients with mild high uric acid and no gout, it is recommended to reduce the body's blood uric acid by drinking more water, avoiding alcohol, eating a low-purine diet, and appropriately increasing exercise.

However, even if the medication has a relatively good effect in lowering uric acid, you should still pay attention to your diet in daily life. Only by doing both at the same time can you better control the blood uric acid in your body.
