Can I get my ears pierced during my period?

There are many taboos during menstruation, such as not being able to eat cold or spicy food. Ear piercing is becoming more and more popular among the public, and it has caused many impacts. Infections, pus discharge, etc. often occur. There are also many taboos and precautions. Some people say that menstruation and ear piercing can exist at the same time, some people disagree with this statement, and some people are neutral. So, can you get your ears pierced during menstruation?

Of course. Ear piercing inflammation confuses many women, and many women are reluctant to get their ears pierced for fear of inflammation. In fact, there are several types of ear piercing inflammation. Some cause pus to come out of the piercing, some cause it to swell like a bud, and most cases are because the piercing has only been done a few months ago and has not yet healed completely.

1. The best time to get your ears pierced: The best time to get your ears pierced is in March, April, September and October every year because the weather is just right, neither too cold nor too hot. At other times, it is either too cold or too hot, which is not conducive to the recovery of the ears.

2. What kind of nails to wear after the piercing: If you want to avoid allergies and inflammation, it is best to wear pure silver nails at the time. However, now in China, people generally use guns to pierce the ears, and the nails of ear holes pierced by guns cannot be replaced at the time, because they cannot be replaced and it is very painful to replace them. Therefore, the pierced people are asked to change the silver nails after 3-7 days. It is okay if you are not sensitive to gun nails. However, if you have skin allergies, your ears will be "terrible" if you wear them for 3-7 days. Therefore, it is best to choose to pierce the ears directly with silver nails or to pierce the holes in a place where you can replace the nails painlessly with a gun.

3. Anti-inflammation care after piercing is very important: alcohol or hydrogen peroxide is a must. The ear holes should be cleaned and disinfected every day. Never remove the earrings. Just wipe the gaps in front and behind the ear holes (don't wear the earplugs too tightly. Leave some gaps in front and back for breathable and easy care). After cleaning and disinfection, it is best to apply some ointment (erythromycin or Bactroban). Use a sterilized toothpick to pick up a little and apply it to the gaps in front and back of the ear holes. Then turn the earrings so that the ointment can slowly seep into the ear holes.

Many people use erythromycin eye ointment. In fact, the disadvantage of erythromycin ointment is that it is too greasy, easily blocks the ear holes, is not breathable, and easily attracts dust, which is not conducive to keeping the ear holes clean. In fact, according to the characteristics of erythromycin ointment, it is good to use it for waterproofing. Apply some before and after taking a bath to prevent water from entering the ear hole. For daily anti-inflammatory treatment, I still recommend "Bactroban" ointment, which has good anti-inflammatory effects and is not greasy. Of course, the price is slightly more expensive.
