What is the treatment for white skin on the vulva?

Some people will find white skin on the vulva, which is medically known as vulvar leukoplakia, or vulvar leukoplakia, and is also called chronic vulvar malnutrition. In other words, the main cause of this disease is nutritional problems. When vulvar leukoplakia appears, it may be accompanied by many other symptoms such as endocrine disorders and low immunity. Therefore, the following treatments need to be taken in time.

Treatment of white skin on vulva:

Vulvar leukoplakia refers to localized or diffuse white patches that appear on the skin of women's genitals. They can spread to the inner sides of the lower limbs, perineum and anus, but rarely invade the urethral opening and vestibule. The clinical characteristics of this disease are: extreme itching of the vulva, sometimes with burning and pain. The skin of the affected area is rough, lichenified, scratched, and sometimes cracked and ulcerated. It directly affects urination and sexual life, and the pain is beyond words. The traditional treatments for this disease are as follows:

1. Drug treatment: After cleaning the vulva with Ph4 Jiaoyan weak acid formula female care solution, apply hormone drugs locally, locally inject anaerobic bacteria, and use traditional Chinese medicine treatment.

2. Physical therapy: microwave therapy, carbon dioxide laser and helium-neon laser, Bohm light, high-frequency electric knife, local electrocautery therapy and liquid nitrogen local cryotherapy, etc.

3. Surgical treatment: simple vulvectomy, vulvectomy combined with skin grafting.

4. Minimally invasive treatment: The use of ultrasound focusing system for minimally invasive treatment has no side effects and is non-traumatic, changing the defects of traditional surgery such as large damage, great pain, heavy bleeding and slow recovery.

General treatment

"Vulvar leukoplakia" must be treated long-term. Some of the skin in the affected area becomes thicker and leathery; some becomes thinner, dry and easily cracked, and even ulcers and nodules may occur. If the vulva skin turns white, you should go to the hospital for examination regardless of whether it is itchy or not. You should be more vigilant if the skin is thickened, rough, raised, ulcerated, cracked, or indurated, and surgical treatment can be performed if necessary.

Vulvar leukoplakia develops slowly, and in the past, surgical excision was mostly used to treat the chance of cancer, but surgical treatment is no longer recommended. In the late stage, the vaginal opening may contract and narrow, the vulva and clitoris will atrophy, and the surrounding tissues will lose elasticity. Since "white lesions of the vulva" are relatively stubborn, long-term treatment and regular follow-up are necessary. The best follow-up time is 3 to 6 months, and generally satisfactory results can be achieved after persistent treatment.

Vulvar leukoplakia is usually accompanied by extreme itching, which can last for several months or even 20 years. The itching occurs regardless of season or day or night, and is unbearable. If accompanied by Trichomonas vaginitis or candidal vaginitis, the itching will be aggravated. Because the cause is unknown, there is no specific treatment. You can try laser therapy, and it is more suitable to use Ph4 Jiaoyan weak acid formula feminine care liquid for vulva cleaning. Or apply 2% testosterone propionate cod liver oil ointment. Usually, you should pay attention to keeping it clean and dry, avoid using soap or irritating drugs to clean the vulva, and do not eat spicy or irritating foods. Clothes should be loose and changed frequently. At the same time, you should pay attention to wearing soft cotton products. The second symptom is vaginal flatulence, which means that the vaginal opening can produce or inhale gas, and then discharge it with a sound like a fart.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, this is caused by qi deficiency, while Western medicine believes that it is related to weakness of the pubococcygeus muscles at the bottom of the perineum. Because the vulva shrinks and the vaginal opening is not closed tightly, gas can easily flow in. Pubococcygeus muscle exercises can help overcome this problem. This symptom occurs after childbirth, when the vagina has not yet recovered from dilation. The pubococcygeus muscles around the vagina become thinner and weaker and cannot close the vagina tightly, making it easy for gas to flow into or remain in the vagina. The gas is only expelled when the abdomen is contracted forcefully. If the patient can persist in exercising the pubococcygeus muscle every day, the effect will definitely be seen after a few months.
