What should I do if I have back pain after confinement?

During the confinement period, many friends will say that they have back pain. In fact, don’t panic too much, because just after giving birth, the body’s immune ability will be reduced, and the body is also relatively weak, so it is normal to have back pain. During the confinement period, you need to take care of and adjust your body, take relevant warming measures, and avoid being invaded by cold, otherwise you will easily suffer from sequelae. If your body has not recovered much, you can do some exercise appropriately, because exercise can strengthen the body's muscles and increase the body's immune ability. The amount of exercise should be taken slowly and not too intense.

What to do if you have back pain during confinement

Lower back pain during confinement may be caused by the fact that the pelvic cavity and uterus have not returned to normal after delivery, and are prone to irritation pain during congestion or inflammation. It is a bit painful and is normal. As the lochia is discharged and the uterus returns to normal, the irritation will be eliminated and the lower back pain will disappear.

During the postpartum period (confinement period), the body's blood vessels are empty and the circulation of qi and blood is not smooth. The disease is easy to occur with a little fatigue or exposure to external wind and cold evil. Low back pain, limb joint pain and numbness are common. Although their treatment methods are similar to daily muscle and bone aches and arthritis, the essence of "deficiency" should be emphasized. It nourishes the body and also relaxes the muscles and tendons. So you should pay more attention to the following situations:

(1) Postpartum women have loose pores and sweat a lot. Do not cover your sweat. Wipe it frequently or change clothes in time.

(2) The air in the delivery room should be fresh and well-circulated, but direct wind should be avoided to prevent the invasion of cold wind.

(3) Although it is recommended to get up at 4 a.m. after childbirth, you should still do it within your ability. Forcing yourself to get up too early to move around, sitting or standing for long periods of time, or even doing housework can easily damage your muscles and bones and cause body aches.

(4) Bathing is encouraged. But you should choose a sponge bath and then take a shower slowly. The water level should be slightly higher than the skin, and the temperature in the bathroom should be close to body temperature, so be careful not to catch a cold.

(5) It is still advisable to wear long clothes and pants (made of thin cloth or silk) in summer. The air conditioning temperature should not be too low, it is appropriate to keep it at a level that causes slight sweating on the skin. Air-conditioned rooms should also have vents, and electric fans can only blow in a turning direction.

(6) Avoid eating raw or cold foods, including fruits, soda and beverages. More attention should be paid within 2 weeks after delivery.
