How should a thick cervix be treated?

How should a thick cervix be treated?

Thick cervix is medically known as cervical hypertrophy, which is a common and frequent gynecological disease that often causes distress to many women. In fact, female friends can take care of themselves by eating more vegetables, improving resistance, and avoiding greasy food. Drug therapy and physical therapy are both good treatments, and patients can give it a try.

1. What is cervical hypertrophy?

Cervical hypertrophy is a type of chronic cervicitis. Inflammatory changes caused by pathogens infecting the cervical mucosa. The pathogens that cause this disease include mycoplasma, chlamydia, bacteria, and viruses. Simple hypertrophy will not affect pregnancy. Severe cervicitis can cause endometritis, salpingo-oophoritis, fallopian tube adhesions and blockage, leading to infertility. Cervical hypertrophy generally does not require treatment. If there is erosion, cervical erosion can be treated.

2. How to prevent cervical hypertrophy?

1. Daily life: Female friends need to pay attention to changing underwear frequently in daily life. At the same time, it is best to choose cotton underwear, which also has many benefits for women's body. Female friends who are malnourished, have weak resistance, or suffer from chronic diseases need to pay attention to whether the disease has become infected. While actively fighting the disease, they also need to improve their body's resistance.

2. Personal hygiene: Female friends should pay attention to their personal hygiene, take a shower, and divide the used basins and towels reasonably. It is best to disinfect them with hot water when using them to avoid bacterial infection.

3. Postpartum life: Women need to pay attention after giving birth. They can do appropriate exercises and lie still in the prone or knee-chest position. This can effectively avoid uterine retroversion and help women reduce pelvic congestion.

4. Sexual life: If a woman has vaginitis, she should avoid sexual intercourse as this can easily lead to infection.

3. How to care for cervical hypertrophy?

1. It is advisable for patients to flush the vagina once a week to avoid bacterial imbalance and bacterial infection.

2. It may be complicated with Trichomonas vaginalis, so you should check for Trichomonas vaginalis infection. If so, you should treat it together.

3. For those who are malnourished, physically weak or suffer from chronic diseases (such as diabetes), pay close attention to whether there are fungal infections in other parts of the body, actively control the primary disease and improve the body's resistance.

4. Stop sexual intercourse. If either man or woman suffers from beriberi, they should seek active treatment.

5. Patients should change their underwear frequently, and the underwear should be loose. Do not wear underwear made of nylon or other non-cotton products.

6. Underwear, used bathtubs, towels, etc. should be boiled in hot water for disinfection.

4. Nursing methods for cervical hypertrophy

1. Eat more vegetables

You should eat more vegetables and fruits on a daily basis, such as: winter melon, kelp, celery, cucumber, green vegetables, tofu, asparagus, cabbage, etc. These treatments for cervical hypertrophy are relatively common.

2. Improve immunity

Not only should we pay attention to dietary adjustments, but also pay attention to those who are malnourished, physically weak or suffer from chronic diseases (such as diabetes). We should pay close attention to whether there are infections in other parts of the body, actively control the primary disease, and improve the body's resistance. This is also a care measure for cervical hypertrophy.

3. Avoid eating greasy food

There are many things to pay attention to in the patient's diet. The most important thing is not to eat greasy, spicy and irritating foods. The daily diet should be mainly high in protein. This is also one of the care methods for cervical hypertrophy.

When patients are actively treating cervical hypertrophy, they must pay attention to taking good care of this disease in their daily lives. Only by taking two approaches can the treatment effect be maximized. In addition, patients should also understand the causes of the disease and take precautions against these causes in daily life to avoid recurrence of the disease.

5. How to treat cervical hypertrophy?

1. General treatment

Many harmful bacteria invade the vagina first in the mucous membrane and folds of the vaginal side walls. This is a minor infection, which can usually be solved by cleaning the vulva with feminine care liquid to maintain the self-cleaning function of the vagina. However, if the harmful bacteria continue to enter the vaginal vault and cervix, it will cause cervical hypertrophy. At this time, the self-cleaning function of the vagina cannot solve the problem. You need to use a wash solution, and it is best to go deep into the vaginal vault and cervix. The length of the catheter is determined according to the physiological characteristics of women. This can significantly improve the inflammation in the vault area. For example, the patented eight-hole nozzle used in Jiaoyan Vaginal Cleansing Wash can reach deep into the vaginal vault and cervix. It is difficult for general products to reach this area, so it is easy to cause cervical hypertrophy.

2. Traditional Chinese medicine treatment

(1) Damp-heat descending: Leucorrhea of large amount, yellow in color or with streaks of blood, thick like pus, foul smell, burning pain and swelling in the vagina, short and yellow urine, red tongue with yellow and greasy coating, and slippery and rapid pulse.

Treatment method: Clear away heat, promote dampness and stop leukorrhea.

Prescription: 15 grams each of Poria cocos, Smilax glabra, red peony root, moutan bark, and Patrinia jasminoides, 10 grams each of Gardenia jasminoides, Zedoariae rhizome, Plantago seed (package), and Cyathula officinalis, and 6 grams of raw licorice.

Chinese patent medicine: anti-endometritis tablets.

(2) Deficiency of both the spleen and kidney, with excessive vaginal discharge that is white, thin, and has a fishy smell. Weakness in the waist and knees, poor appetite, loose stools, lower abdominal pain, frequent urination, pale tongue, white and slippery tongue coating, and a deep and slow pulse.

Treatment method: Strengthen the spleen and warm the kidneys, eliminate dampness and stop leukorrhea.

Prescription: 15 grams each of Codonopsis pilosula, Atractylodes macrocephala, Poria cocos, raw coix seed, Psoralea corylifolia, and cuttlefish bone, 10 grams each of Morinda officinalis and Euryale ferox, and 6 grams of roasted licorice. Chinese patent medicine: Wenjing Baidai Pills.

3. Diet therapy

Diet therapy is very good for the treatment of cervical hypertrophy. However, it does not mean that diet therapy can completely cure cervical hypertrophy, but it can play a role in regulating the body and controlling the disease. There are several types of dietary therapy:

1. Put 30 grams of new silkworm sand (wrapped in cloth) and 30 grams of Job's tears in a clay pot, add appropriate amount of water and boil it, once a day for 5 to 7 days.

2. Wrap 9 grams of lentil flowers and 12 grams of Chinese toon bark in gauze, add 200 ml of water, boil and take 150 ml. Drink in several times. It usually takes effect in 1 week.

4. Physical therapy

For patients with cervical hypertrophy, deep and extensive erosion involving the cervical canal, and/or suspected malignant changes, physical therapy can be selected. Common ones include:

1) Electric ironing: Use the electric iron head to touch the eroded surface to coagulate the tissue and form a scab. The scab will begin to fall off after about two weeks, and it usually takes 6 to 8 weeks for the wound to heal. The operation should be performed 3 to 5 days after the end of menstruation. Do not use if you have adnexitis. After treatment, leucorrhea may temporarily increase or cause bleeding. If there is a lot of bleeding, use sterile gauze to apply pressure to stop the bleeding and remove it after 24 hours. The disadvantage is that scar contraction may sometimes lead to cervical stenosis.

2) Cryotherapy: Use a liquid nitrogen rapid cooling device to place the probe on the eroded surface for 1 to 3 minutes, remove it after natural rewarming, and cause the diseased tissue to freeze and necrotize. A lot of watery discharge may occur 2 to 3 weeks after treatment. The advantage is that bleeding and cervical stenosis occur less frequently.

3) Laser treatment: Laser carbonizes and forms scabs on the eroded tissue, and the healing process is the same as the previous two treatment methods.

4) Focused Ultrasound Therapy

After reading the above content, I believe everyone has a deep understanding of the disease of cervical hypertrophy. Of course, timely prevention and treatment is also urgent. Friends with cervical hypertrophy must pay attention to their usual eating habits. Of course, treatment should also be timely, so that you can have a healthy life!
