What are the methods for postpartum pelvic repair?

Whether it is a natural birth or a caesarean section, it may damage the female pelvis. Some women may even suffer serious pelvic injuries during childbirth, which is very harmful to women's health, so timely repair is needed after delivery. There are many repair methods now, such as the use of a pelvic correction belt, but it should be noted that the repair methods for natural birth and caesarean section are different.

1. Pelvic recovery after normal delivery

If you want to restore your pelvic bones after a normal birth, you can correct and recover them through exercise.

(1) Standing exercise: Stand with your legs slightly apart, contract the hip muscles on both sides to clamp them together, bring the thighs together, turn the knees outward, and then contract the sphincter to move the vagina upward. After patient training, you can learn to distinguish the contraction and relaxation of the vaginal and anal sphincters, improve the relaxation of the vagina, and enhance the vagina's clamping function.

(2) Horizontal exercise: Lie on your back with your buttocks on the edge of the bed. Straighten your legs and stretch them out in the air, but don't touch the ground. Hold the edge of the bed with both hands to prevent you from sliding off. Close your legs and slowly lift them up, bringing them closer to your upper body and straightening your knees. When your legs are raised above your torso, hold your legs with both hands and bring them closer to your abdomen, keeping your knees straight. Then, slowly lower your legs to their original position. Repeat this six times, once a day, year round.

2. Pelvic recovery after cesarean section

Whether it is a natural birth or a caesarean section, the mother's pelvis will become larger after giving birth. This is what expectant mothers often refer to as a big butt after childbirth. To change the big buttocks after childbirth and prevent various adverse symptoms caused by pelvic relaxation, expectant mothers should prepare a pelvic belt for themselves before giving birth. There has long been a misunderstanding that many expectant mothers believe that a caesarean section can help them maintain their figure better and prevent a big butt after childbirth. In fact, this is wrong.

Mothers who have undergone caesarean sections always tend to think that their pelvis is less likely to have problems. In fact, the pelvis after caesarean section is also open and relaxed. Therefore, mothers who have caesarean sections, like mothers who give birth naturally, must use a pelvic belt to tighten the pelvis in time after delivery.

During pregnancy, the pelvis expands due to the action of a hormone called relaxant factor. After the baby is born, the pelvis reaches its most relaxed state and the uterus also sags. Therefore, if it is not tightened effectively and in time, in serious cases, symptoms such as inability to walk, symphysis pubis separation, and continuous bleeding may sometimes occur. Negative symptoms such as urinary incontinence, constipation, and low back pain are also common after delivery.

3. How long does it take for the pelvis to recover after childbirth?

Modern women spend less and less time walking due to reduced workload and more developed transportation. This causes the ligaments, lower body, and muscles around the pelvis to become underdeveloped, causing the pelvis to become overly loose after pregnancy. Immediately after childbirth, the pelvis relaxes to the maximum extent! The pelvic wheel becomes unstable. So, how long does it take for the pelvis to recover after childbirth?

The following symptoms may occur due to pelvic relaxation: body shape distortion, back pain, shoulder pain, difficulty walking, prolapse of internal organs and uterus, and urinary incontinence. Since the pelvis supports the upper body, once the pelvis relaxes, it needs to be supported by the muscles on the buttocks, such as the brachii major and brachii medius, as well as the muscles on the waist, which causes the body shape to be out of shape and is prone to low back pain and shoulder soreness. It may even be impossible to apply equal force to the feet, and in severe cases, it may cause walking difficulties. In addition, internal organs and uterus may easily prolapse, and in severe cases, uterine prolapse may occur. Moreover, due to childbirth, not only the pelvis but also the muscles will become loose, making urinary incontinence more likely to occur.

Severe pelvic relaxation can also easily cause postpartum hemorrhage. Once the pelvis relaxes, it will be dislocated, and the edge of the sacrum will sink into the inner side of the pelvis, scratching the cervix. If the uterine artery is also scratched, it will cause heavy bleeding.
