Is breastfeeding okay? The best way to feed your child

Mother is the person closest to her child. Mothers use breast milk to nourish their babies. Although there are many popular milk powders nowadays, most nutritionists advocate breastfeeding. It is the nature of all living things for mothers to breastfeed their children. By nature, children cannot live without their mothers, and mothers cannot live without their children. There are many unknown values in breastfeeding children that we need to explore.

Composition of breast milk:

Breast milk is the juice produced by women's breasts after childbirth for feeding babies. Breast milk contains nutrients such as lactoferrin (important), carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids and taurine. It is the main source of nutrients for newborns in the early days of life.

Breastfeeding:

Breastfeeding has many benefits, benefiting both the baby and the mother. For babies, breast milk is nutritionally sufficient and balanced. It contains carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids and taurine that are important for the baby's brain development. The protein and fine fat particles in it are easily digested and absorbed by the baby, making the stomach and intestines comfortable.

Beneficial bacteria:

Breast milk contains more than 700 species of beneficial bacteria. The microbes in breast milk are annotated using a DNA sequencing technique called pyrosequencing, which generates large numbers of tiny DNA tags from the genes of the organism being tested. Researchers were able to distinguish the different species by looking for changes in their DNA sequences.

Scientists have discovered that breast milk contains more than 700 bacterial species, exceeding previous estimates. The exact roles these bacteria play are unclear, but this microbial diversity could help infants digest breast milk or boost their immune systems.

The study also found that breast milk from overweight mothers and those who had a planned C-section contained less bacterial diversity, while the composition of breast milk from mothers who had an unplanned C-section was similar to that of breast milk from mothers who had a vaginal birth.

Note:

Before breastfeeding, the mother must first change the baby's diaper, wash her hands after changing the diaper, and then wipe the nipples with warm water before starting feeding. Normally, nursing mothers should change their underwear frequently and keep their nipples clean to prevent nipple and breast diseases.

Position during breastfeeding is important. It is necessary to adopt an appropriate posture for feeding. Of course, it is mainly necessary to choose different postures according to the mother's current situation. You can feed your baby while sitting, lying, side-lying, standing, or even walking. The general principle is that the mother should adopt a comfortable posture with all muscles relaxed. She should hold the child's neck and back with one hand and, depending on the situation and needs, the other hand can hold the child's hips or support her own breast. The child should face the mother, and it is best for the mother and child to be "three-stick" in place, with chest against chest, abdomen against abdomen, and chin against breasts, with the baby's head and back in a straight line. When breastfeeding, the mother must have a peaceful facial expression, a slight smile, and look at her beloved baby with gentle eyes to give the child a feeling of maternal love. She must not have a wooden expression or dull eyes.
