What do contractions feel like?

Pregnant women will experience uterine contractions before giving birth. There will be pain during contractions, which will start as mild pain and gradually increase in intensity. In the beginning, the contractions are irregular and the intensity is relatively weak, but they will gradually become regular, and then the intensity of the contractions will become stronger and stronger, the duration will also increase, and the time of stopping in the middle will become shorter and shorter. When the pain spreads to the lower abdomen or you feel like you want to have a bowel movement, your baby is ready to go.

1. In the late pregnancy, false labor may cause mild distension and pain in the lower abdomen. It often occurs in the dead of night and disappears at dawn. The frequency of labor contractions is inconsistent, the duration is not constant, the intervals are long and irregular, the intensity of labor contractions does not gradually increase, and there is no feeling of falling. The symptoms are relieved during the day. By the due date, only painful uterine contractions are the precursor to labor.

2. Some women feel the pain of the initial contractions in the abdomen, while others feel it in the waist. Don't be nervous and be scared by the contractions. In fact, if the contractions are not strong, you may not feel them or they may be the same as the lower abdominal pain during menstruation. The intensity of pain also varies from person to person.

3. When the uterus contracts, you will feel mild pain, and after a while the pain will intensify and last longer.

4. The contractions come like waves, and the pain spreads to the lower abdomen, or there is a feeling of lower back pain and defecation. This kind of contraction is in preparation for the birth of the baby. So this little pain is nothing. As long as you cooperate with the doctor and use the breathing exercises you have practiced to coordinate the contractions, you can successfully go through the delivery.
