The main cause of endometrial cancer is postpartum infection or infectious abortion, which can easily induce endometrial cancer. When endometrial cancer occurs, certain symptoms will appear, the most common of which are vaginal bleeding, pain, and even some systemic symptoms. It is important to prevent the occurrence of this tumor in daily life. 1. Vaginal bleeding It is the main clinical symptom of endometrial cancer. It manifests as: (1) Postmenopausal vaginal bleeding: 70%-75% of endometrial cancer patients are postmenopausal women, and more than 90% have vaginal bleeding. It manifests as continuous or intermittent vaginal bleeding with varying amounts. Generally, the amount of bleeding is not much, and heavy bleeding is rare. There are also cases where people suddenly have heavy vaginal bleeding several years after menopause. (2) Perimenopausal vaginal bleeding: manifested as menstrual cycle disorders, prolonged menstruation or increased menstrual flow, or irregular vaginal bleeding. Approximately 20% of endometrial cancer patients are perimenopausal women. Another 5% are women under 40 years old. 2. Vaginal discharge About 1/3 of patients have increased vaginal discharge, which manifests as serous or bloody secretions. When combined with intrauterine infection or pyometra, the discharge may be purulent or bloody, and sometimes have a foul odor. 3. Pain It usually does not cause pain. A small number of patients experience lower abdominal pain, which is persistent or bloating, and may be related to the large lesion protruding into the uterine cavity and stimulating uterine contraction. The pain is more obvious when there is fluid or pus accumulation in the uterine cavity, or when advanced cancer infiltrates surrounding tissues or compresses nerves. Symptoms include persistent pain in the lower abdomen, lumbar region, and legs. 4. Systemic symptoms Patients with endometrial cancer generally have obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. In the early stages of gynecological examinations, pelvic examinations are usually normal, but in the late stages, there may be signs of uterine enlargement, adnexal masses, anemia, weight loss, cachexia, and distant metastasis. |
