How to perform ovarian cyst surgery

Ovarian cysts are very harmful to women's health. In recent years, it has been a common orthopedic disease, often occurring in women between the ages of 20 and 50. For women whose symptoms are not serious, conservative treatments can be adopted, such as medication, lifestyle therapy and other methods to regulate them. For more serious ovarian cysts, surgical treatment is required, and there are many surgical methods.

In the early stages of ovarian cysts, symptoms such as abdominal pain and lumps will appear. If the relevant symptoms can be discovered in the early stages, the treatment of ovarian cysts is relatively simple. Early ovarian cysts are mainly benign tumors and rarely become malignant. The treatment of benign ovarian cysts can be mainly carried out using the following three methods.

1. Ovarian cystectomy. Most of these patients have no menstrual disorders and some even have complicated pregnancy. For some patients whose tumor is more prominent on one side, a salpingo-oophorectomy can be performed on the affected side to treat the ovarian cyst.

2. Salpingo-oophorectomy. Unilateral ovarian cysts occurring in patients over 45 years old and bilateral ovarian cysts are usually treated with unilateral or bilateral oophorectomy. Patients who are not fit enough for surgery or have severe inflammation often undergo total hysterectomy. It is worth noting that in the treatment of larger ovarian cysts, the size of the incision should not be considered in the surgical treatment, and complete removal is preferred.

3. Resection of the adnexa and the entire hysterectomy. Unilateral or bilateral ovarian cysts occur in women who are near menopause or menopause. The patient's general condition is not adequate for treatment. The appropriate treatment for this type of ovarian cyst is bilateral adnexectomy and total hysterectomy, but this will seriously affect endocrine disorders.

The above is an introduction to the treatment methods of benign ovarian cysts. The treatment of benign ovarian cysts is relatively simple and easy to recover, but once improperly treated and converted into malignant ovarian cysts, the treatment is more troublesome. Therefore, women should pay full attention to their physical health, detect and treat the disease early, and learn to protect their ovaries in life, develop good living habits, and protect their health.
