Early symptoms of trichomoniasis

Early symptoms of trichomoniasis

Trichomonas vaginitis can be cured as long as it is well treated, so women should not worry too much. At the same time, in order to better prevent Trichomonas vaginitis, you should understand its symptoms. The main symptoms are increased vaginal discharge, itching and burning sensation in the vagina, often causing vulvar stinging, pain during sexual intercourse, etc. More severe cases can also cause back pain and lower abdominal pain.

Because Trichomonas vaginalis is highly adaptable, it can survive for one day in a semi-dry towel, for 21 days at a temperature of 3-5°C, and even for 5 days in tap water. Therefore, this disease is a very common gynecological disease among women. It can be transmitted directly to women through male carriers during sexual intercourse, indirectly through baths and swimming pools, and indirectly through medical devices.

Early symptoms of Trichomonas vaginitis:

① The amount of vaginal discharge increases, even several times more than the normal period, and is thinner or thicker, foamy, light green in color (normally milky white or grayish yellow), and accompanied by a foul odor.

② Due to the increase in leucorrhea, it is easy to cause friction damage to the vulva. Over time, it is also easy to cause thickening of the vulva skin, local keratinization and pigmentation changes. Therefore, the vulva feels unbearable itching, tingling and burning.

③ Vaginal mucosa edema, congestion or bleeding spots.

④ Burning and stinging in the vagina, especially the vulva, and pain during sexual intercourse.

⑤ The urethra is infected, causing urinary pain, frequent urination, and sometimes hematuria.

⑥ General weakness, back pain and lower abdominal pain.

If you match items ①-② of the above symptoms, you should pay attention; if you match items ③-④, you should start treatment as soon as possible; the sixth symptom only occurs in a few people, but some people who have been infected with Trichomonas do not experience the above symptoms.

Take metronidazole orally, 200 ml each time, 3 times a day, 7 days as a course of treatment. It is normal to experience nausea and vomiting, but if you experience headache, leukopenia, or rash, you should stop taking the drug.
