Early symptoms of breast lumps, we must know how to correctly judge in the future

It is very common for women to have lumps in their breasts, but each person's breast lumps are very special, such as the location of the lumps, the shape of the lumps, the size of the lumps, or the mobility of the lumps.

1. Tumor shape, surface and boundaries

The shapes of the lumps vary, generally irregular, but round, oval, etc. can also be seen. In addition, some special types of cancer, due to their mild infiltration, can show clear boundaries and good mobility even if they are larger masses, such as medullary carcinoma, mucinous carcinoma, well-differentiated adenocarcinoma, etc.

2. Location

The vast majority of lumps are located in the upper outer quadrant of the breast, followed by the upper inner quadrant, upper and central areas, and less frequently in other locations.

3. Size

The lumps vary in size. In the past, the lumps were often larger because patients sought medical treatment late. In addition, localized glandular thickening of the breast is also a common but important sign that is often overlooked.

4. Number

Generally, single lumps in one breast are more common, and 2-3 lumps are occasionally seen.

5. Lump texture

Their textures are not all the same, most are solid, hard, or even stone-hard.

6. Activity

Compared with benign masses, they are less mobile. The smaller the lump, the less obvious its features are, and it is sometimes difficult to distinguish it from a benign lump.

What are the types of breast lumps?

1. Breast cancer

Usually there are hard lumps in the breast with irregular shapes. Instead it adheres to the skin or deeper tissues. Therefore, such lumps should not be pushed with your fingers.

However, breast cancer lumps do not cause pain. Just feeling with your fingers cannot confirm the cause of all breast tumors. If you find a new lump in your breast, you should go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment in time.

2. Adenoma

Adenomas are not cancer; they are simply larger than normal glandular tissue in the breast. Many times, women around 20 years old are more likely to experience this kind of situation. If you feel it with your fingers, you can feel that the lump is round and hard, and can even move from side to side.

3. Intraductal papilloma

These lumps are tumorous growths within the breast ducts. They often grow underneath the nipple and can even cause the nipple to bleed. Women during menopause may experience this condition in one breast, while younger women may experience it in both breasts.

4. Abscess

An abscess develops as an infection in the breast. These lumps may be painful, and the skin on the surface of the breast may become red and hot, and the whole body may also become hot. It can be cured through scientific and effective treatment methods.
