The dangers of long-term irregular menstruation, beware of these complications

Many women do not pay attention to their menstrual irregularities. Everyone should be aware that long-term menstrual irregularities are very harmful to women's bodies and can easily lead to dysmenorrhea and polycystic ovary syndrome, which has a great impact on pregnancy and fertility.

1. Dysmenorrhea: Severe pain in the lower abdomen during menstruation, affecting work and daily life. There are two types: primary and secondary.

2. Premenstrual syndrome: A series of abnormal symptoms that a small number of women experience before menstruation, such as mental tension, emotional instability, inattention, irritability, depression, insomnia, headache, breast pain, etc. It is mostly caused by sex hormone metabolism disorders and mental factors. The treatment is mainly based on proper rest. Sedatives and diuretics can be used when necessary. Anti-estrogen therapies such as progestins, androgens, and bromocriptine can also be used.

3. Polycystic ovary syndrome: the cause is unknown. Symptoms include infrequent menstruation, amenorrhea, and infertility. Symptoms such as hirsutism and obesity, and polycystic enlargement of both ovaries can be treated with hormonal surgery.

4. Menopausal syndrome: refers to a series of physical and mental symptoms caused by fluctuations or decreases in sex hormones in some women before and after menopause. It is divided into natural menopause and artificial menopause. Such as sexual dysfunction and paroxysmal bleeding.

5. Care for irregular menstruation

1. The course of treatment for irregular menstruation is three months. Stop the medication in the fourth month and observe the menstrual cycle. Generally, the menstrual cycle will return to normal after one course of treatment after taking the medication regularly.

2. During the treatment of irregular menstruation, if you have a cold, please stop taking menstruation regulating drugs and take them again after the cold is cured.

3. If you take other medications (Bai Feng Wan, Si Wu Tang, etc.) during the treatment of irregular menstruation, please inform your doctor.

4. After menstruation returns to normal, please be especially moderate in consuming raw and cold fruits and drinks to avoid recurrence.

5. Regulating menstruation requires a long period of time, please take the medicine patiently.
