Why can’t I detect ovulation? There are three reasons

Without mature follicles, pregnancy is impossible. Experts point out that the real reason why ovulation cannot be detected is that estrogen cannot reach its peak secretion; if the ovaries do not ovulate, the corpus luteum cannot be formed, resulting in the inability to secrete progesterone normally.

1. Why can’t ovulation be detected?

Why can’t ovulation be detected? Is it the wrong method? Experts point out that simply using test strips to monitor ovulation is not very correct. It is recommended to go to the hospital to use B-ultrasound combined with ovulation test strips for more accurate monitoring. The doctor can correctly guide the time of intercourse, and the chance of pregnancy will increase a lot.

After taking ovulation-inducing drugs or during the natural cycle, it is best to use B-ultrasound to detect ovulation, that is, starting from the 8th to 10th day of the menstrual cycle, observe the appearance and development of the egg until ovulation. The diameter of the follicle is about 20 mm to 24 mm. The maximum diameter of the follicles of each patient with ovulation disorders in different menstrual cycles is mostly the same. If the diameter of the follicle is less than 17 mm, the possibility of pregnancy is very small. At the same time, ultrasound monitoring can also clearly observe the thickness and morphology, which has a certain role in guessing pregnancy.

2. Causes of non-ovulation

One of the reasons for non-ovulation: because estrogen cannot reach its peak secretion, the ovaries are unable to ovulate, resulting in female infertility.

The second reason for non-ovulation: if the ovaries do not ovulate, the corpus luteum cannot be formed, resulting in the inability to secrete progesterone normally. The endometrium will not form a secretory phase due to the proliferative phase. The uterine bleeding at this time is abnormal menstruation, and there will be no ovulation. Since the egg cannot be discharged normally, it will naturally lead to female infertility.

The third reason for not ovulating: After ovulation, the wall of the follicle gradually shrinks, and the granulosa cells at this time increase, leading to the formation of the corpus luteum. The function of the corpus luteum is to secrete progesterone, also known as estrogen. And 12 to 14 days after ovulation, the function of the corpus luteum begins to slowly atrophy, and it can no longer synthesize estrogen and progesterone, eventually causing female infertility.

3. What to do if you don’t ovulate

For women who do not ovulate, it is important to identify the cause and treat it scientifically to avoid infertility difficulties.

Anovulation is a common endocrine disease and one of the main causes of female infertility. The incidence rate in infertility can be as high as 25% to 30%. Female friends should attach great importance to it and actively seek treatment. Experts point out that as long as women who do not ovulate receive correct treatment, their chances of ovulating normally and becoming pregnant are still very high. However, the cause of the disease must be identified first, and then a personalized treatment plan should be developed based on the different circumstances of each couple in order to achieve effective diagnosis and treatment.

There are two main aspects to consider when ovulation cannot be detected. One is that the detection method is inappropriate, and the other is that there is no ovulation. If it is the former, you only need to change a few more testing methods. However, if it is the latter, you need to take it seriously and find out the cause to avoid affecting your health.
