Pain on the right side of the head

Pain on the right side of the head is a common phenomenon. Bad weather and lack of sleep can easily lead to headaches. However, there are also some phenomena such as migraines. Pain on the right side of the head is also common. It is also closely related to weather, sleep and mood. But what are the causes and symptoms of pain on the right side of the head? Let's take a look at the symptoms of pain on the right side of the head.

Spasming pain on the right side of the head: more common in women, often beginning during adolescence, with cyclical attacks. In some patients, headaches are closely related to the menstrual cycle. Before a typical attack, patients often experience drowsiness, fatigue, and depression, and may see flashes of light or dark spots in front of their eyes. They may also experience numbness of the face, lips, and limbs, and aphasia. These aura symptoms subside after about 20-30 minutes, and then a severe headache occurs, which hurts like drills and needles. This type of headache is often partial to one side, often starting from the eye socket or forehead, extending to half of the side, or spreading to the entire head. The headache attacks last for hours or days and then gradually subside, often completely relieved by falling asleep. There is usually a family history.

Hypertensive headache: This type of headache is a common symptom in patients with hypertension. The headache is often a deep, throbbing dull pain, sometimes accompanied by a feeling of tightness in the head. The pain is often located in the forehead and occipital area. The severity of the headache is often related to a sudden increase in blood pressure.

Headaches caused by lesions of the head organs and adjacent tissues are divided into: oculogenic headaches, ear-fist headaches, headaches caused by nasal or sinus inflammation, odontogenic headaches, and headaches caused by cervical cone disease.

Trigeminal neuralgia: more common in patients over 40 years old. The pain is limited to the trigeminal neuralgia sub-area, and the pain is sudden, paroxysmal, and lightning-like, like a knife cutting, drilling, or burning. Each pain is short-lived, ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes, and comes on and stops suddenly. During an attack, symptoms such as ipsilateral muscle twitching, conjunctival congestion, tearing or drooling may occur. Trigeminal neuralgia can be triggered by talking, eating, brushing teeth, washing face, blowing wind, etc., so patients dare not talk, wash face or eat. Trigeminal neuralgia attacks in cycles, with fewer attacks and longer intervals in the early stages of the disease. As the disease progresses, attacks become more frequent and the intervals between attacks become shorter.

Chronic headache after head trauma: The patient has a history of head trauma. This type of headache is often accompanied by dizziness, fatigue, insomnia, irritability, and lack of concentration. Headaches can be aggravated when you are nervous, exert yourself, or bend over.

Patients should know more about the above-mentioned phenomenon of right-side head pain. It is helpful for their physical health and can relieve the pain to a certain extent. If the situation is too serious, they should seek medical attention immediately, otherwise it will delay the disease. Physical health is more important than anything else and patients cannot ignore it.
